Speaking of which, I am hoping that the blower motor (on a '93) isn't a hard fix. I know I need a new blower motor resistor, but a couple weeks ago I just re-installed my heater controls and heard a bit of howling once the fans started up again. It went away after a few min so maybe there was just some dirt from being in storage... but I am anticipating the worst which is what I have come to expect![]()

Awesome. Good to know, guess it's something that I will just put off until I need it then.Look under the hood. 3 bolts and a plug and it's out. Really simple.
man, that just blows... I think I'd do without heat before trying to do a stupid heater core. My usual joke is that the instructions for replacing one start with "abandon all hope ye who enter here"
Haha, agreed. When I broke the heater and it was early afternoon I didn't think much of it (other than that it was cold as hell on the way to Boston). But I was already awake and functioning so I could deal with the cold better. Waking up first thing in the morning and having no heat REALLY sucks. Autozone had to order the part for me and it took a couple days to get in. Waking up and driving first thing in the AM home and then the next day to work without heat was miserable.Let me know how that works out for you, if it happens or better yet completely shut off your heat for 3 or 4 days the next time it snows. If I had to I would but when you can see your breath and wearing gloves to drive, not to mention no defogger kinda sux. I kept my daughter home from pre-school on Monday because I wouldn't let her ride in the cold.
mmm......mini circle track racing around the backyard in the snowthe ground is nice and frozen with a snow layer on top, perfect for sliding.
a nice circle track on a lake.
whaaaaaaaat
I think my brain just exploded at the thought of trying to set that up, even thinking about setting one R&P up is making me wonder if I should just pay for it to be done... would not want to try and set a R&P&P up.
I think I understand the principles of the process, I'm just afraid to try it.same here, once i watched my friend do mine. i got a better understanding of it.

i sorta have motivation to work on my axles, but its cold in the container. i can get the heater going, but if i grind i gotta open the windows and i lose all the heat.
Not by choice surely, but if I needed to get to work etc I would - I keep a pair of milsurp wool gloves in my jeep when I don't forget them at friend's houses. They were warm enough to keep me alive driving from Haverhill to Worcester in 20 degree weather with no window. With that for reference, no heat doesn't seem too too bad... lolYa I'm with Bump, there is no way in HELL I'm driving around another winter without heat. What do you think one of the two main reasons why I got rid of the red jeep was for? It didn't have heat.
