Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I don't get it, it's like everyone jumps on a bandwagon of "he's famous now so he sucks".

I saw him a couple years ago at the garden and seriously couldn't breathe I was laughing so hard. I just saw Isolated Incident a couple months ago and thought it was hilarious.

Not saying he's the best comedian out there, but I still think he's worth seeing.

I saw him at Umass D a few years back for Tourgasm...he was funny, but the least funny guy on the tour for that show. Robert Kelly was the man!

Overall his stuff is funny, and it's pretty impressive that he had the number 1 comedy cd...extra points for being a Boston born comic...but I will, too, admit he seemingly became played out and became too pop culture. That being said, if I was given a ticket, I'd go see him again.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I watched a documentary called Inside Deep Throat last night, which was about the movie Deep Throat and its impact on that time period and even now, and it amazed me how much of that movie I still know today. I have scenes burned in my brain that I didn't even realize were from that movie and I haven't seen it since before young Travis was born, now it explains alot. I mean come on how classic is it that a girl lifts a guys head and asks if he minds if she smokes while he eats. Oh the damage to my impressionable brain at such a young age. Did anybody know that it was one of the all time biggest grossing movies? It cost $25k to make and so far has made over 600 million.

Oh and on a jeep note while I was walking around a junkyard today, I mean working, I found myself a black 97 TJ hood just sitting there next to the Yotas, so I snagged it for $50. My TJ is a black 97, Sweet!

Occasionally I feel the need to troll :eyes:

And I was reading the old gixxer thread about NOS energy drink, the audi thread about using sand to port heads, and CherBear's alter ego's thread about ricing up an XJ earlier today...

MORNIN NAC!

I'm thinkin' for Christmas i want a Nikon D40 or D60? Any suggestions? Lenses, Accessories, etc. HELP ME OUT DUDES!!!

what is with you guys all wanting to jump on the dslr train? if you're not potentially going to get into photography, don't bother with the dslr. new, a 2 lens setup will run ~700+ for beginner stuff. the new p&s are a lot better than they used to be.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm thinking about getting some form of camera. I want a nice one... but then again I am thinking about a cheap P&S since I will probably end up tossing it in an ammo crate in the back of my rig anyway.

I am almost thinking about mounting a security cam on my front bumper or roof or something so I can record my wheeling. Maybe put one at the front and rear of my rig and hook up a car-puter to a small monitor and use it as a backup cam too, now I am getting bored and thinking of how I can film myself. Maybe I will take a security cam on a long wire and an air cannon and shoot the camera over a nearby branch and record myself driving under it.
</camera rant> :rof:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

OK, so I've gone over my numbers like 5 times now and I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong (if anything.) Trying to figure out how much backspacing I need... my current rims are stock with 5.25" backspacing. Standard 8.25 rear axle, 60.75" WMS to WMS (apparently d35s were 61.25" though?) 11.5" wide tires, 7" wide rims. I have absolutely zero wiggle room before my springs hit my sidewalls, it's skating on the edge of safety. New axle will be 59.75" WMS to WMS so 1.5" narrower worst case. So I already need 4.5" BS max to avoid not being able to drive. New rims will be 7" wide also, new tires a little narrower but not noticeably... so I want 4" or less BS right? I've gone over this so many times I am almost sure I'm right but I really don't want to buy the stuff, have it show up, and then need spacers after all.
