Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Frack, just missed it. Though my jeep almost has floors now! :D:D

And speaking of 2 dr doors... Billy, how much you want for a pair? Idk how many you want to sell or if you want to keep a couple sets for yourself. Let me know, I may be interested in the next couple months once it gets a bit closer to the summer, maybe february timeframe. :dunno: Just gotta find a place to keep all the stuff I am looking to buy and work on

Lucky. I wish I had floors. Although I think my uncle will let me use his nice heated garage (that has a kegerator in it) to work on the heep. Another member on here said he would help if I could find a place as I already have those premolded pans for the front from Qtec.

I kindof wish I got the pre-molded ones, but I went the cheap route that just took alot more of my time. Though now that I am just about done I have started finding little tricks taht would have made the job alot quicker if I knew them all along.

But then again Im glad I didn't get the pre-molded. like I said, learned alot of tricks for working with the sheet so it will be good once I start doing other work with the rest of the sheet I have.

I got a steal on the premolded ones. Couldn't pass it up. Got all 4 for the price that they sell one new. Really couldn't pass up on that offer. I really need to learn how to weld though haha.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Just got back from the Pats game. Had sweet seats. Thanks to Adam's girlfriend for those.

Also, my jeep officially needs a fuel pump. It won't start at all now.

Time to get crackin on that next weekend and fire up the welder. I need a non-gay skid.

Yeah, if I got a great deal I would have done it, but I was going to buy the full front/rear from discountjeepparts.com; but IIRC those would have run me in the $300-$400 range for front/rear plus shipping. I got two 4'x8' sheets of 18ga sheet and went to town.. total cost" $110 (and I will have half of a sheet left so I can tub my rear fenders

You will learn welding fast when doing it on sheet. I highly recommend picking up a box of scrap metal the same thickness you are using and practice for a few days. After a few days of work I could butt weld 2 sheets together quite well.

And I should have had tickets to the game. My uncle has season tickets with a couple other people and my father was offered seats to the game (i have heard they are really good seats too). My father couldn't make it so he declined, completely forgot I would have been pumped to get them.. He decided to tell me about it rather than just letting it be and leaving me in the dark completely. Sigh.

Oh, and... dare I say... that's alot of oil...

thats alot of work, and dont forget about all the bracing needed for the unibody to run the 60's

yeah, and i've already plated the front with the things travis, bill, and i drew up a while back, and i have plans for the rest of it that will be done when i do the 3 link... so i'm not too worried about the unibody. whatever i built would be mosly a slow project to tinker with and not expecting to finish it within a year...

They've been making me sick, so I officially ignored the fact that they were on.
