THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhh

some son of a bitch broke my drivers window out. Doors weren't even locked. Stole nothing.

Glad I have comprehensive glass coverage... anyone know if your premiums go up on that if you make use of it? If so I'll probably just hit up Sams Monday for a $25 piece of glass.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

damn that sucks man. its probably just worth it to pick up the glass and do it yourself rather than waiting for someone to come out and do it and filing the paperwork etc.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Just leave it be. you'll find that it happens alot with XJs wheeling in New England :gee:

Yeah I'm really tempted. It's only 25 bucks, I KNOW it won't hit my premiums, and I learn something new... speaking of which how hard is it to replace the glass in a drivers door on an XJ? I've never done them, only Hondas and Dodges. Are there any bolts I'm going to have to remove *scribble* break off and drill out *scribble* heat up with the torch and remove? I could google, but I think I'm gonna go take a shower instead...

:roflmao: I would but it's REALLY COLD out right now and I don't want to drive to work sitting in a snowbank :gee:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i've had a shitton of comprehensive claims between the jeep and truck having tires slashed, getting keyed, glass being punched out, etc etc.

it won't directly affect your insurance premiums, and with no deductible it's very worth it to just make a phone call and have them fix it for you. however, if your record is squeeky clean it may affect your premiums since you'll no longer be in the category of people who have NEVER filed a claim for anything (who don't cost the insurnace company a dime), and people who have filed for some claims (for whatever reason)

oh yeah though... don't get class from JN Phillips, my windshield whistles now because of them

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I've got a speeding ticket and a "failure to observe traffic control device" ticket (what my traffic lawyer bargained my large speeding ticket down to) on my record, plus a claim for a windshield from last winter when I got hit by a slab of ice... I doubt it'll affect my premium noticeably. I think I'll call later today and ask how fast they can get it fixed, if it's more than two days I'll probably just consider this a $25 lesson in installing automotive glass. Hell, even if I completely foul the door, it'll only cost me $50 at the junkyard for a new one...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

it's gonna snow or rain sometime in the next week, the "getting it done fast and learning something" is more important to me than the $25... and the "only $50" comment was because I consider $50 cheap if I learn another thing I can fix on cars, because I can get a lot of beer by doing it for friends after that :D

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

my buddy just smashed out the side window on his Bronco II. the ford dealer wants 1600 for it. he just put on comprehensive so the next time he does it the insurance will total it

which is why im afraid of trees with my 2 door

those winders are big and not as easy to find.

so i went wheeling yesterday

and my buddy justin broke 3 dana44 shafts at once (not even simultaneously, it was a single bang)

passenger rear(stock 30 spline)
drivers front inner and outer (yukon)

Well get comprehensive on the Jeep if it's not too much, then come up with a plausible story for how your window broke so insurance will cover it. Not to mention I pick up spare windows at the local pull yard when I find them. I have vent windows on my rig right now, but I have 2 spare non-vents sitting out back. Let me know if you ever need one.

And regarding insurance premiums, mine has never gone up and in the past 6-7 years I have had 4 windshield replacements and 1 side window. (windshields were from rocks on the highway, I went through 3 in one year with the Jeep. Side window was kids with a slingshot and a rock).

So I doubt it would affect your insurance at all. Hasn't seemed to change mine, just not sure if different providers treat it differently :dunno: I just went to the town glass shop (yes we have one) and told them what I needed, they put it on order & had it the next day, then a few hours later I had a new window. Only paperwork required was me pulling out my latest bill to get the insurance provider info and account #. They handled the rest.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Son of a bitch. Looked again, the retards missed so they put a dent in the drip rail and a big scrape/dent right down to bare metal on the top of the door. If I ever figure out who did this (haha, right.) they're xxxxing dead. They hit 4 other cars on the same street and took nothing, just kids being total douchebags

:gonnablow

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

It's no coincidence that my old phone's predictive text spelled worcester as "woecrater"... Can't wait till I own a house with enough land to build a garage on.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I drank so much last night.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I need to find me a set of 2dr doors so I can cut em up and make half doors for the summer. It kinda sucks that there are almost no upull it places in NJ.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I too don't want to run fully doorless, but half doors would be badass. i've got a big friggin list. i need to stay home on the weekends more to get more stuff done.
