X2 fully agreed, steel rope is a pain in the butt all around. I hate that stuff. Last time I used it was installing a 40 foot radio tower and the guy lines and it's just impossible to work with, also great when you're taking a tower down and the old frayed wire rope keeps stabbing your hands every time you try and grab it while loosening bolts and stuff. If I was going to put a winch on (I have a really small one I got off Steve, not sure what I'm going to do with it to be honest but it looked useful!) I'd probably carry around a ten or fifteen foot length of steel to use as a leader, and run synth for the rest.

Most definitely, even the driver's side has a crease above the rear fender flare. It's toast.

I see no harm either. I'm hoping PSC does their X-Mas sale again this year, that's when I'll finally have the cash for my steering anyway.

Like I said, no problem. Figured it's better to ask and get a no than to not ask only to later find out there would have been interest.

Damnit, if I didn't get the "we are letting you live here so you can save up for bigger things, not more 'stuff'" comment today I would be all over that winch! Any by bigger things they (the parents) meant a house, not more 'bigger and better' stuff for my Jeep :(

well hey. Synthetic line or not, it'll be nice to go on runs with everyone here and not be the only one with a winch anymore. I don't mind helping but sometimes it can get to be a pain in the ass haha. Not that you guys aren't worth it. :kissyou:

yes, billy made window and bath caulking and mobile home air vents look awsome on his jeep, they should make a Joe Dirt sequel based on Billy
