THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

that sounds good jon. For the 60 though, you could find like a late 80s ford axle and use a 78/79 passenger side shaft, that would bring the WMS down to around 65" or so I believe. (That's what my front 44 is at)

But, like I said if you're definitely getting no bigger than 37s, the 44 would be fine. Good idea on doing the rear 60 though, definitely...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

rear 60's in stock form have 30 spline shafts, same size as a d44 FYI

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

it wont be in stock form dont you worry about that....i dont like stock

Actually as Colin and I discovered looking at shaft length charts the other night, putting a pass side 78/79 Ford D60 shaft into a mid/late 80s Ford D60 only decreases your overall width by 2.12". This means you'd be at 67.13" (69.25"-2.12") WMS.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

my take on the 44 vs 60 for under a 37" tire size

less unsprung weight. for the win
more clearance. ftw
once the 44 is built up to withstand abuse it costs as much as a 60. for the lose

im glad I did a 44, especially now that i have dropped down to 35's

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

spare shafts are under pass seat, spare tire is held down by all 3 rear seatbelts and i got a small tool box, the jeep is ready to go, i just need to go and get a few things at the store tomorow

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I need to grease the CTMs, throw on a CB antenna, change the fluid in the diffs, and do bumpstops in the front. Then pack up the Jeep and be good to go on Friday. Shouldn't be too much trouble though, oughta do fine. I'll be home from class at like 2pm tomorrow; plenty of time :) unless the bumpstops turn out to be a royal PITA with the ballistic fab coil retainers...we shall see!!
