THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So OME is giving me a hard time pretty much about my springs trying to claim they've been "abused" and are "really old looking" - aka maybe not even 2 years old, and on a "modified suspension they are not designed for, therefore out of the design parameters". they offered to buy me one spring, and offer a second at a "discount" but wouldn't tell me how much that would be so they're pretty much trying to break my balls. springs should NOT look like mine do, especially how they are the most most most expensive springs out there, especially for only a 2.5" lift. grrrr. should i pull the "i'll tell the entire jeep community your springs suck a nut" card yet?

yukon wouldnt warranty a shaft that broke prior to installation

i tell everyone who asks about them they suck a nut

duly noted...all superior for me per your suggestion :guitar:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

especially since OME's springs are getting iffier quality now supposedly, and i can most CERTAINLY get them to lose more than the $300 for new springs' worth of business

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

nooo. not tearing it apart. swapping a motor. big deal! :dunce:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

sweet, whatcha got?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I want to find a non-rotted stocker to swap it into... big jeep has enough power to break stuff as it is, no need for a stroker in it. I've always wanted a 2dr 5 speed stock-looking stroker DD though. I could do this little side project and keep the civic for the time being, then when it was done sell the civic and DD the little jeep...depends on what he'd want for the motor.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

sweet, whatcha got?

im gonna get billys hp44 next time im out in springfield, im gonna do 4.56s, alloys, high steer w/heims, some sort of selectable locker and probly gonna bite the bullet and go CTMs, and TNT truss.

i might hafta get some measurements from your axle travis

also does anyone make machined inner c's for 44s?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Sounds like a good plan :) Why do you need inner C's? Reid makes em for 60s but nothing for a 44 as far as I know. You're welcomed to come look at my jeep anytime. whats the axle out of, a 150 or 250?? with a selectable and TNT truss you'll really be spending some dough, my axle wasn't cheap and I got a used detroit and no truss. they are nice though, no doubt about that!!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

id like to have machined inner c's just for ease of welding and adjusting caster angle, maybe ill have my machinist figure something out, im def getting reid high steer knuckles like yours but imma powercoat them.

axle is out af a 79f250 i beleive

the selectable is if i have the $$ if not ill just go detroit but i defintley trussing and probly sleeving the tubes

yea i know its a lot of $$ but its gonna be a long term project while i can still wheel with the turdy and i plan on keeping the 44 for a long time since im not going bigger than 37's

also RK long arms is on the list

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

John woth all that money you can build a 60 and never have to worry about breaking it

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

^^He's right. I'm happy with how my 44s came out but IDK. the 60s are nice too, I'd say it's a cointoss. If you're DEFINITELY staying at 37s or under, I'd do the front 44. But maybe keep it 8 lug and do a 60 in the rear or something. the 44 is nice for clearence though. Idk...toss up.

Ditto, My truck is big and my foot is heavy but i'm only on 35s and I broke a shaft first time out with my truck. I'd rather have a 60 and that's what I'm gonna get.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

if i do a 60 it would hafta be custom shafts cuz i wanna stay close to the stoc width, and i know for all the $$ i can build a 60 but with 37's aired down im gonna be dragging on all sorts of rocks

i will say if i find a good deal on a 60 before i get too far into the 44 ill grab it, i have plans for a rear 60 after the front is all done
