Rounded bolt in a parts vehicle? screw it, sounds like angle grinder time to me
Rounded bolt in a parts vehicle? screw it, sounds like angle grinder time to me
I've been up, had to get up early to try and pull the steering box from the parts j20. It is now held on by one rounded bolt...errrr. So I have to go by a pitman arm puller after work and hopefully I can get that off my Honcho's steering box then drive up to middleboro get it reamed and be to quincy in time for work. Damn.
for the rounded bolt you can't just pound the next size smaller socket onto it?? for example, round off a 10mm, use a 3/8" instead...
anyone who's worked on a car 5+ years old knows that trick.
first red post goes to this thread!
took a look at the U-bolts I got for my lift this weekend... not sure they're long enough, I think I accidentally ordered the wrong ones. QTec order here we come...

welcome to the red side!!!
I really hope my pitman arm comes off tomorrow. I did spray it with PB today....
I would preferably want to not cook all the seals in it.
