Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

so im back from the garage.. i cleaned! holy shit. put away all the tools, swept, all that jazz. i started then to *attempt* to take off the balljoints from the d30 but they may be a formidable foe to remove, even with the balljoint press. tomorrow, i will add FIRE! and no anthony, the balljoint press is NOT harbor freight. it's the autozone rental thing, i hope i don't break it!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

More of you need to learn to quote and stop padding your post counts. :looney:
when i got Mark's axle from ross it was in ruff shape, open diff, a little rusty and broken shock mounts, but after some mighty putty and a little buffing from a shamwow its locked and damn sexy

Looking good Rob!
we have now passed the midwest chapter for biggest thread on NAXJA, thanks to all the NAC postwhores for this great acheavment(sp?)
Am I the only one that is not feeling this as an accomplishment, but more of a fact that more of you 'tards need to get off the computer during the day?
if i fab axles, they're going to be 60's. not to copy bill... but i love his build. a polished 30 is a stock 44, a polished 44 is a stock 60, and a polished 60 is freaking sweet. that's how i look at it. (and not even... the polished ___ is still not quite equivalent to the next one up) it's
Eh, its overrated.
dont forget me, im cool, i got a HP60 too
Haha
am i the only one going with a 70 rear?
Like I've said a million times, if I had had to pay for a rear axle it would have been a D70 or 14B FF
FACT:a 70 only hangs 5/8" lower then a 60
Which can be easily fixed.
have fun grinding the shit out of your frt calipers if your still gonna run 15's
X2.
Thanks to Ross for helping me press on the bearings on the Superiors today.

Hopefully the 44 will be ready to go by the end of next Monday.
TUBING ORDER TOMORROW! My bank account is going to cry hard. Very long and hard. They'll be over 320ft in various dimensions arriving...
Looking good!
the 35's will be mounted tomorrow!
Sweet!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i got my old pump and manifold out. i'm either going for catfish tomorrow night or finishing the installation
i've caught catfish on a dead-bare hook. not even any bait. you could go catfishing for like 2-hrs, catch a week's worth of food and come back and finish :dunno:

i learned this trick from my dad and colin:
tighten the BJ press against the BJ and whack the inner C with a 3lb sledge a few times. it should release all the pent up tension... if not, hit with heat and repeat. but seriously, don't load it till the thing bends... ask me how i know that :nono:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i've paid as little as $10 per tire at some south boston projects garage, last time i had one mounted and balanced i paid $17 but that was talked down from them trying to charge me like $35 (such BS, it takes 10 minutes tops). stay away from the big chains - they all charge over $30 / tire to mount and balance

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

bob, go to walmart in leicster. it's like 3.50 for a mount flat rate any size tire and a few bucks more to balance. I've come across some mom-and-pop chains that will do it cheap too but any of the big name tire places charge an arm and a leg

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread
