yahhh. walmart ftw I've had some minor problems with them in the past...just tell them you want to ask the manager about it and when you're told they don't do larger than stock tires, ask them if they've done H2 tires, then they'll say uhh, well yeah...so? And you say well, this is the same size. They'll do it... just took me a little coaxing to get them to do the creepy's (I know the creepy's are bigger...but they didn't!!)

PRO E was designed by russians (no joke) and everything is put together in a different manner of thought than americans would do it, so it's not very intuitive

the only good server for pro e to operate on is windchill. trying to incorporate pro e into anything else is going to be a nightmare, as kyle and i have experienced.

if i were using for actual design work it would be one thing. straight up documentation work sucks. that and changing electrical drawings that have been imported keep the same formating for the program, but having to change the image line by line

yeah the entire process really is a circle jerk.

person wants to make a change to a drawing
fills out a form to make change
(insert like 5 more steps here, i never do it)
gives form to CM
CM has to give form to other people, getting like 15 approvals along the way
CM loads it into server
CM gives drawing to someone to make changes in PDF form, put fancy bubbles around changes
PDF gets loaded into system
more checks and BS
someone in CM gives PDF back to engineering so drafter (me) can make changes
i make changes in proE
go through model checks
12 other checks
i create a drawing again
send it to review
drawing getl ike 20 other checks and signatures before being released again


the entire process takes months and probably costs tens of thousands of dollars

all to change one dimension's tolerance from .01 to .001, for example

i could bring my laptop... and i know of a program or 2 that can take music off of an ipod and put it on a computer :angel:
