Looks like fun Glenn!
Ok, I'm spilling the beans on this, read below.
Thanks for playing along, I know you know that things went well.
It was a Yukon. The only thing odd I found was 11thou shims over the more standard 10thou shims.
Ok, sorry Colin, Mark, Ross and Adam, I have to come clean before Mark's post gets burried to deep in this thread without anyone really commenting about it.

Then someone thinks we actually left it like that.
So I for one thought that there would be a HUGE outcry and 3 or 4 pages in this thread about the pictures Mark posted. Of course we would NEVER even think about leaving anything like that.
It all started when we had finished and were all eating dinner when Travis sent out a pretty muh nationwide text and asked all of us what was going on with it. We thought we'd play a joke on him (sorry buddy) and told him we broke a ring gear bolt. One thing lead to another and we staged the above pictures along with the horrible pattern. Again, those are staged pictures and are not real! Although, I am displeased to tell you, Yukon does have that listed as "acceptable".
The truth is after spending most of the day chasing parts, we NAILED the pattern in 3 trys in a little over two hours. Ended up with a darn near perfect pattern, 7 thou backlash, and 18in*lb pinion preload. Colin is happy along with the rest of us.
Mark has the real pictures and I'm sure he'll post up soon.
Darn, I was really hoping that would be a good joke.
