Well, apparently the guy at NAPA (not my friend I usually deal with) didn't know what he was doing yesterday when he called in the order for my VW brake pads. So he ordered the wrong ones. Correct ones are on order now, but won't be in till Tuesday. So instead of fixing the car I'm working on my shop. Going stupendously so far.

mark, drive around like that. yes.
all of my ball joints are swapped. the uppers weren't actually that bad, but the lowers were fried. i didn't know the uppers were basically pins, i thought they'd be ball joints too... but uh the lowers were shot.
i managed to bend colin's CHINA ball joint press too. i might try to straighten it between 2 trees or with my winch though.
probably going to button it the rest of the way back up and go for a drive and see how it works...

Oh, so random story.
This afternoon, my dad and I were just out in the woods across the street from our driveway. (If you look up at the picture of the 2 jeeps together, those woods right back there.) I left and came back to work on my Jeep, and my dad was still out there. He comes back and says guess what I found. He found a full pocket-book with wallet and everything. We ended up calling up the person after we looked them up in the phone book, I guess it was stolen a year ago from her car, and she had like $400 worth in gift certificates in it. Well, there weren't there obviously, I guess the people just ditched it as they drove by.
Our first thought was before we called them was "alright, so is the person this purse belongs to missing as well?"
