Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yay, I've renamed one more file since this morning.

I had to sit with my computer off for an hour.

Found out some people are uploading sh*t tons of data to the server, completely bogging it down for the rest of us.

I sh*t you not, because I timed it, it took just over 5 full minutes for an assembly to open off the server. I put it onto my local harddrive, and it then took just over 20 seconds to open.

mark, solidworks may be bad but wait until you get shit like the assemblies i'm doing drawings and shit for in Pro at raytheon - maybe 30 people working on the same assembly, on a 5000+ part assembly. a bunch of times i would have all of my stuff stomped over and lost because i forgot to check in what i had properly every like 5 minutes

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

what's the server that you guys are running, mark?

anything like windchill?

that would piss me off. there's never really more than one or 2 people working on the same thing at once at kollmorgen where i worked...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

get this....
went on a little run with my friens zuki samarai yesterday. he just finished a motor/tranny axle swap, so it was kinda a feeler run for him.
twenty min into it, and he overheats.
we pull off to the side of the trail, and his radiator is puking up a storm.so, i take a look at it.
No mechanical fan, and no electric fan.And the heater isnt hooked up.
No wonder he got hot.
Sooo, naturally i take the auxillary fan from my xj, and we zip tie the fan to his grill.
Then we need wiring so i figure im not gonna need the plow anytime soon,so there are the needed wires and i proceed to remove them.
ten minutes later and 4 water bottles of swamp water and we were on our way!
and he wanted to call for a tow...hahahaha
btw he is a manager at a repair shop, lol:clap:

well, bad news folks. the nova's return to the streets was short lived, very short lived :(:( the powerglide no longer has 2nd gear/drive. had to limp home in first. oh almsot forgot, the brand new booster and master cylinder is puking brake fuild out from the cap and i have a spongy pedal that no longer comes back up.

i think ive found a way to desrcibe how repairs/upgrades/modifications go on my nova. i seem to have about the luck that mark has when workin on his jeeps.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

My Jeep is still parked. Haven't been in much of a rush to fix it since my new MT/R's with Kevlar are on backorder. For those of you who didn't know, the old MT/R's are discontinued and none are left anywhere in a 35" size. I'm waiting on a set of the completely redesigned new ones to test out. Should be fun if I ever get them.

Parts coming in for the Vdub front brakes tomorrow, and a delivery of lumber/stuff to fix up my shop a little more. Should be a busy day. Next Tuesday should be getting a delivery of steel. Plus I've got a bunch of projects I started for friends/family I need to get working on... Instead I'm here reading NAXJA. :laugh3:
