Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

^^that was POST number 6000, here's reply number 6000. ftw.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

uuhhhhh Rob, There's an alignment chart somewhere on here that will put you in the ballpark with the lengths of the control arms.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

yeah. i think 5' 11" for the uppers would work well for ya. I read it before on some other forum, I'm pretty confident that it's accurate.

....There's my tech advice for the day, take it or leave it. :D

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

This is a list of the desired control arm lengths for the lift height you have.

Measurements are taken from hole to hole on the control arm. This is the same for both XJ and MJ over all years.

LCA = Lower Control Arm
UCA = Upper Control Arm

Stock
LCA - 15¾"
UCA - 15"

2"
LCA - 16"
UCA - 15"

3"
LCA - 16"
UCA - 15"

4"
LCA - 16 3/8"
UCA - 15"

5"
LCA - 16 5/8"
UCA - 15¼"

6"
LCA - 17"
UCA - 15½"

7"
LCA - 17 3/8"
UCA - 15¾"

8"
LCA - 17¾"
UCA - 16"

9"
LCA - 18¼"

 I got a FedEx tracking number in my email, I think Ballistic Fab finally decided I was worth 5 minutes of their time to box up/send out what was ready :laugh3:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

he beat me to it. i referenced this one yesterday when i set mine. i haven't measured the caster, but it looks to be pretty damn good. i used the 4.5" lift settings... (15 + a little and 16.5 ish) very technical here...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Bitchin!! wadcha gettin???

Well, to avoid too much tech I *should* just direct you to my build page :rtm:... but whatever :)

DIY crossover steering kit with 1 ton TREs, coil/LCA/shock brackets, and an over the axle trackbar bracket. Couple shirts too. Only took em 3 weeks to send anything out. I think the tracking # I got is only for a portion of the order too, which is kind of lastara but oh well, at least it's something.

I needed 12 hockey pucks :roflmao:

I have ~4" of uptravel up front. But the pucks don't really contact the upper bumpstop. I'm thinking about getting a longer insert up top to offset this.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Umm, why does everyone jump on people if they post in here if they aren't in the NAC? Its not that big of a deal.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

have you read the thread's title mark? ;)

I agree, it isn't a big deal. I don't think anyone else is worried about it, we're just being smartasses

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

ive been looking at that chart but my issue is the shortest my uppers will go is 15.25 so well have to see how she handles

i got 2" of up travel in the frt, wich has alot to do with the hover convertion

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i've got 3.75" or so (after i add the hockey pucks which i have yet to get)

yesterday i made a boo boo and made both my uppers and lowers a bit short. the uppers were at no more than 15" and now they're at 15 1/8". the lowers were only at 16" and now they're at 16 5/8". suspension is done, jam nuts are tight. good to go (other than greasing the ball joints but i need to get 3 more zerk fittings first. rock krawler arms seem to have freaking tiny ones. it's not cool. hopefully napa has them. hypothetical bumpstop to full droop, i have 10 1/8" of travel. not bad for short arm.

just took the 30 apart and popped out the axle seals. going to go to napa now and press in a new driver side seal and hopefully they'll have one that i can press into the tube right next to the carrier. stupid disconnect axle.
