Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

just got off the phone. he said he can make me one with a 2.5" mounting width.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

BAM INSTALLED!!!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

he won't have them available for a 4-6 weeks though.... it'll only have a 3/4-16 thread. maybe 7/8 whatever though.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

is there an advantage to having the flex joint at the top of the trac bar? why not put it on the bottom?

only thing i can think of is to keep it out of the mud...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

would it be a big deal to have a .125" thick spacer between a flex joint and a mounting bracket? mounting width on these (http://www.summitmachine.com/store/...oints/flex-joint/flex-joint-medium-shank.html) is 2.375... mounting width on the RE1665 is 2.500" i could machine a spacer to thickness and use it in there... good idea/bad idea?
Are you sure on that? I think the mounting width is 2.0". Actually I know mine is. I ordered these with a 1/2" bore: http://www.summitmachine.com/store/.../flex-joints/flex-joint/flex-joint-small.html

Edit: Anthony, headed to the store now... I'll call you back when I get back.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

oh.... problem solved then. did you get ones with a shank?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

mofo. lost my drawing in proE again. i rather dislike this thing with having a zillion other engineers working on the same assemblies, stomping over my work

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i can put threads somewhere else in the trac bar and just weld tube to the joint.
