you can electrical tape a computer to say that the CEL is off??? You're AMAZING!!!!! AUTO FTW!!!! (sorry, had to offset that amazing comment...)

seeing as I have done it with my OBD I jeep, I would have to say yes, yes you can. Nothing gets plugged in, when I had bad o2 sensors I did just that. covered the light with a piece of electrical tape, and they didn't say a word.

i don't even think my CEL worked on my renix...think maybe the light was broken...

would it be a big deal to have a .125" thick spacer between a flex joint and a mounting bracket? mounting width on these (http://www.summitmachine.com/store/...oints/flex-joint/flex-joint-medium-shank.html) is 2.375... mounting width on the RE1665 is 2.500" i could machine a spacer to thickness and use it in there... good idea/bad idea?

after the kind of cruelty you just inflicted on me? puh leeeeeze. haha... the housings are just el cheapo ebay projector housings(actually was quite surprised at their quality for the money...) and the bulbs/ballasts I got through a friend. Everything total I don't even think broke the $100 mark, and it's a HUGE upgrade over stock.

Yeah, they are. 6000 Kelvin is what I went with... Good compromise IMO. 4300 I believe is the highest that comes on any stock vehicle, at least to the best of my knowledge. However, they go up to like 20,000 kelvin, which is just ridiculous and blinds everyone for a 500 mile radius :gee:
