yay got my bumper on! thanks UJ, mainly Bump and Songy. I'm going to have to take it off again to finish up the steering box brace though. We just left the tow hook bracket on since it was about to start snowing, and didn't want to break the steering box bolts and leave me stranded. I have to take off the steering skid to be able to acess one of hte bolts to finish tightening it up, and screw around with it from there.
also traded my old bumper to marty in exchange for an extra CO2 tank he had laying around - siiick!

the thing fit like a glove installing it! all i have to do is take it off again to reinforce the steering box, which will involve taking off the skid to drop the box since the bolts will most certainly break. i also need to move the horns and find a better ultimate spot for the vacuum canister. after that, its time for the hellas!

I just put my vacuum canister under the hood, on the passanger's side. There's a nice little spot it tucked right into. I think there was like a length of the plastic hose you can just take out to shorten it, and it ends up being more or less a perfect length.

actually on my first jeep we almost got killed with a friend of mine driving with cruise heading up to vermont to go snowboarding. as soon as we hit vermont on 81 the highway turned to ice. and being a shitty cruise control, going uphill it decied to floor it to speed up back to 65, and we ended up sideways for a little bit going waay too fast. thankfully my buddy had been in a very similar situatino before so he straighened us out and didnt crash. as soon as we crested the hill we found 3 cars sideways/backwards in the ditches on both sides of the road

kyle-you can make those shackles anti theft by drilling a small hole through the side that screws in and running a small piece of cable through with a mini lock, or just search ebay, someone makes locking ones or something to that effect, jeep is looking sweet though!!!
