THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Hmm well maybe I should make a run with some of you before I go 4.5" this winter and 33's in the summer. As far as skids I only have a front skid fromt Rustys. I've been looking at the Appalachian transfer skid and a factory gas tank and reinforcing it. But my slider have come in I just have no hardware or a welder to put them on. But I do have moderately acceptable tow points.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

get those sliders on there, get the tcase skid, and have at it.

what are "moderately acceptable tow points"?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i hate you bastids for wheelin without me this weekend

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Well my rear are good, but my fronts are just factory tow hooks with a longer bolt through them and the front bumper mounts. I was mainly to make it look like I had tow points. But I should be making my front bumper within a few weeks with solid points.

Factory tow hooks are fine. That's what I run for now until I get my new bumper.

Is the CSF too expensive? I won't run a stock radiator ever again.

Granted I run a Flowkooler high flow pump as well, but while cruising I never get over 195-200*.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

no not at all. i need to drive my jeep for work. and i can get a shit one tonight. more of a time thing then anything i would love a 3 row.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

The sad part is, I might agree with you here Mark. I think I ran the A/Ts too low for their liking. I had them at 12 psi for 33x12.5 on a 15x8.

I figured that was good but they just have too soft of a sidewall. I should have run them at like 16 psi.
Ha, I was just giving you a hard time. but you did have sh*t luck with those BFG's.

I never had one problem with them, and I aired down to 12psi for 32x11.5 on 15x8.

Hmm that's odd then.

I know Matt (Egon) has had his set of 33x10.5 for a couple years now. He runs them at 15-16 psi I think and they just have scuffs in the sidewall. And that's wheeling stuff like rock creek, etc. That's what made me think I ran mine kind of low, granted his were 10.5 wide.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i wanna drive my jeeeeeep!!!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I wish I could wheel this weekend as well :( It's CLOSE though!!

LOL..... Egon has been running those tires for 5 or 6 years!!! Those tires should have become "boat-bumpers" a few years ago, but they still seem to be working.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

egon. running BFGs for eons.

:roflmao: When he told me how long he's had them my jaw dropped! I couldn't believe it after my experience with BFGs.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

eons i say. eons for egon.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ross, the TJ lives again. Ran all the lines yesterday, and just finished bleeding them this morning.

You are actually the first person I know who has had that experience with BFG's.

I had mine for about 2 years or so, and that was back when I used to wheel the same amount in a month what I have in the past 2 years.

The tires then went on to live on my friend's Sonoma.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I had the same problem when looking for a set of frames a while back. I didn't want anything too expensive but didn't want a junk pair either.

I have a set of Chaps that were like $100 or something. They have the half frame on top of the lens and the wire holding it in the rest of the way on the bottom.

They've survived a couple falls and have only had to be repaired once, which took the lady 5 minutes to put a new wire in.
At this point expensive isn't so much the issue (only sorta). I want it made in this country and I need a full frame. The dainty half or no frame ones would be done in a matter of hours. I've still had no luck finding any. I'll give it a little time for the places I went to re-stock.

You arn't in the tow hook haters club?

I got mine in 3 business days. How bad is it? Can you suck it up and wait a few more days?
I think and they just have scuffs in the sidewall...
Think they had scuffs? Those things were whitewalls!

Insane. I almost didn't believe it when he told us that, until I looked at the date code on the tires.

Not here. My buddy destroyed a set on his F150.
