THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

soooo i understand that my 31's are a wee bit on the small side, and i think about ten pages back, i was told i couldnt come on a run because of them, and everyone was running 35's.
so i might just get 33's instead of 35's, lincoln lock it and totally pwn the trails with no fear of body damage, and show you i have the skills not to get pulled off every obstacle.

XJ bodies are disposable. when you use one up just swap everything to the next one

-sigh-
you guys leave me no choice.
lets talk about tires.
i love my tsl's. noisy, but idgaf.
kinda suck on ice, but kick ass on everything else.and they have super duper earth moving capability.
im thinking 33"x12.5" flavor.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

ive been looking at those. good in snow?
the tread doesnt look all that aggressive, but given your contentness with yours, i assume they do.

they do suck in gooey mug, but they are not ment for mud, they do pretty darn good in snow though

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i need to do something, as far as wheeling or modifying.
its been a while since i did either(intake doesnt count for me)
the xj's alt went, ruined sat for me, still not fixed, and now the mj didnt star for the wife up in manchester yesterday. it eventually started, the aaa guy doesnt know what he did, but it got her home.
i was kinda fed up with everything yesterday and started thinking,
"how many times have i wheeled this year?two, maybe three times?whens the last time i bought something for the jeep?a year? wtf even own it. i could do the same with a civic. drive to work, drive home from work, blahblahblah."
but then i think of how much i enjoy smashing my knuckles on it,cutting things off it, and adding things on, and just plain driving it, thrue the woods and on the road.
thats when i realized i am in love with little shoebox:loveu:
and i wouldnt trade it for anything(except another jeep)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Couldn't work on my Honcho today but no big deal. I got everything ready but had to pack up because someone was at my apartment building was here(inspector, board member, or someone like that) so I had to pack up and couldn't borrow the maintainence guy's power tools. BUT instead I drove down to bridgewater and picked up some 1/4" angled steel to make bumper brackets from. I was eyeing sobe 2x6 but I held off for now until I can measure to see what I want.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

it seems all my mangers back home are taking 2 weeks vacations, i could be doin the same right now if i didnt take this job in ny, but i wouldnt be makin money and buyin shit for the green jeep, just gott figure out what to buy next

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yeah chicks may dig body damage but I don't. Battle scars are one thing but I couldn't beat my rig like Rob does. Sorry Rob.:o

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Steve if it makes you feel any better I'll let you work on my Jeep. I'm running out of knuckles to smash.

I guess I could start using my feet, and I bet the end result would turn out better too!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

ok come on down! air compressors in the driveway, suns out,and im itching to cut/bolt/unbolt/break/fix/ and devastate any and all jeep things today.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

yesterdays accomplishements-
Mj- tightened up batt terminals, lubed up the hood release, now it only takes one person to open.(almost wanted to go w/ hood pins)
filled the tires to max psi(better mpg)
unbolted that crappy rr shock ,no more noise.(but slightly bouncy)
cleaned out the tb
found about 5 vac lines and hooked them up(in the right places)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I already have the drill, grinders, welder, hammer, and punches out. Wish I could be on the lift so I can rotate my tires but the boat trailer is taking up the space for new wheel bearings.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Lift? ive always used a highlft and and jackstands.
the lift sounds nice and easy tho.
time to call around for an alternator now,
unless you crazy cats have one you can part with.
