My HP D30 has a whine in 4WD (FT/PT) that I understand to be the front pinion bearing. I was going to get just that part fixed for now and worry about a full rebuild when I regear/lock. The shop I use for engine work bought a bunch of new toys for setting up gears and I might be able to finagle a whole reset if I supply the bearings
What should I buy for just the front, and which rebuild kit should I buy for the whole thing?

Chris, it turns out one of the stoves in our house is for burning coal not wood and I found that out on my own by taking the name of the stove and googling it. I haven't decided if I'm going to keep it or swap for a wood stove. Can you shed some light on your experiences with coal? I know it's come up but I mean specifics regarding temps, burn times, $, and storage.
