They don't approve oil fired furnaces for garages? How the hell are you supposed to heat it?Much more contained flame in a burner, plus they don't.
When was the last time you parked your car in the basement? Haha.
Thanks for the frustrating info.Units installed when past code versions were in effect are grandfathered in. They used to have requirements for how high the unit needed to be elevated off the floor and whatnot. And you have the ability to switch off the ignition source instantly in an emergency.
However, I believe they are now prohibited in garages as well.
In MA it is hard to many paper-pushers in big cities that don't get it. There are still options and you can "isolate it" from the fumes (that isn't all that hard). They don't approve oil fired furnaces for garages? How the hell are you supposed to heat it?
Not sure what car in basement has anything to do with this... the garage is detached from the house by 100+ ft.

Illustrate a point about fumes vs flames.
You remember the hurdles I had to jump to just get my basement floor at the same level as my garage floor?
LOL. Literally. LOL.
I understand the marketing behind this though when you can get the almost full line of Ford vehicles from the F150 to the Explorer to the Taurus with the "same" 3.5L turbo Ecoboost.
I did giggle when the mentioned the fuel mileage during the press release. I mean really? Who buys a supercar (ok, maybe that is up for debate that the GT is one, but still) and worries about mileage?
It's so it can run the GTLM class in IMSA races, and yes, fuel mileage is kind of important in endurance racing. The 5.0 wouldn't be competitive and there's no forced induction allowed in motors over 4000cc, or motors over 5500 allowed... Save for the Viper, which has a special exemption due to grandfathering the motor/chassis or something.
IIRC the Viper and Vette have intake restrictions
Probably. The C6R made that class it's bitch for years.

Not a Raptor, but I'd drive one once they start rotting out (which will be in a couple weeks if history repeats itself):
