THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread aka North America Home Owners Association Thread

Rob, a new cab mount is cheaper than a new truck and you know it.

Any special tricks to welding tube adapters in? I only have a 110 machine so I don't need to worry about burning through, but I know I could very likely distort the threads. Let it cool between beads, I'm guessing?

Its not just the cab mount, whole fuel system really should be replaced, tanks lines everything, then the steering box ext. just ready for something new

As far as tube adaptors just bevel everything and burn em in I've never had a issue, you can do a couple plug welds to if you want

I welded 1/3 the way around, let it cool a bit then continued.
Seemed to work fine for me.

x2. Don't leave the joint in.

You can easily burn through / distort the thread on those inserts if you're not careful. The 1-ton TREs are 7/8" thread into a 1" ID tube, and the Ballistic joints are 1.25" thread into 1.5" ID tube.

Not much meat there.

Hmm, may have to check that out. Doing decent with part sales at the moment.

Anyone want a beater 5 speed ZJ? Needs a steering column issue fixed and some other stuff, but I'll let it go cheap.

I'm finally working on the Nova again. Got most of the rear framerails plated, gotta start laying out the crossmembers and the 4 link next. Sheep payed me and I instantly blew all the money on a complete fuel system all the way up to the engine.

Ross, turns out I never loctited the bolts holding the vacuum pump to the timing cover on my truck

Bottom bolt was halfway backed out. Loctited it and cranked it back down. Hopefully that solves that issue.
