Also I agree the Chevy Cruze by far one of the better cheapish vehicles out there

Her commute isn't terrible. Its about 35min. But its all back roads. I honestly wanted her to get a fiesta. Mine is great in the snow. Even when it had shit tires. With a set of snows it would be super sweet.

Any of you guys know Trail Tech Fab?

(I sorta remember maybe that's where the 205 doubler kits came from?)

Might look into having them do my flywheel adapter.

Yup. They're based out of CT?

Bought my 241/205 doubler kit, shifter plate, and rear mount setup off of him.

No complaints. Great to deal with.

Bought his doubler kit, cable shifter bracket, and 205 rear mount. Then copied what Colin did.

Met him at a swap meet later on too. Nice guy, no complaints.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread aka North America Home Owners Association Thread

i think you're making a mountain out of a mole hill. we took it up to 55 on a 4 lane road. ever drive an early 80s econobox? 0-60 in 20 seconds was normal.

So, you're saying its fine that a 2013 car can perform as well as a 1980's sh*tbox? The car has no power to get out of its own way, period. I'm not saying it needs to be 0-60 in 1.4seconds, I'm just saying the inability to accelerate at 60-70mph in an acceptable time would make me never want to drive that car again. I do not think it is a decent car, period, let alone fantastic.

sure it isn't fast, but i wouldn't say it is unsafe... i wouldn't call any car built today unsafe due to lack of power.
I never said I felt unsafe because it didn't have power, read it again. I said I felt unsafe because that car was so light, it was getting tossed around on the highway because of the high winds. The likely hood of an accident was high due to how small and tiny it was. As it was there were 6 accidents on the stretch of highway between Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo.

I bought hi-steer arms from him and have talked to him at a few swap meets. Nice guy, came through fast on the parts. Is he still a pirate vendor?

Yep, he's got a post in the 'job shop' area advertising machine shop services, and a lot of the parts he (Mike?) has in the gallery are similar to what I need made.

I'd rather bring the project to someone local & active in the 4x4 community than some random machine shop somewhere.

Yup. Name is mike. His shop is pretty close to where the jeep rally is next Saturday.
