THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Best part of the south is there's no shortage of eating, just had venison chilli dogs. Unfortunately shrimp and crawdads are out of season.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

If I was Ross, I'd do whatever costs more and works shittier.
costs more, works shittier, but can be ordered online without picking up the phone :spin1:

So apparently we're taking my MJ to Carlisle now.

Probably hang with the Rausch crew for a bit and maybe see if I can get it up on the dyno. Wouldn't mind datalogging a run or two to 6500.

I spent yesterday working on getting our dyno at work ready to go.

It's good to 750hp... unfortunately it doesn't have the ability to handle the weight of a full size vehicle on the rolls, I think.

Need a YZ250F to dyno?!?

Just saw a Titan with a 2ft its lift, was a little shetchy, atleast there was no blocks in the back

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yo NERDS any of you(I bet Ken is going to be all over this) have mad microcontroller experience? I've got a pile of stepper motors, some drivers, handfull of thermocouples, an arduino uno and leonardo, some lead screws an oven I built this past weekend, a couple heating elements out of a household oven and I have to hammer them all together so they dry and cure half a million coated hypodermic needles a year.

I don't actually need help, I just wanted to sound cool.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'd do unspeakable things to own a flat fender wheeling rig

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Adam is so full of shit saying xj's are all becoming rusty, all I've been seeing is rust free ones, there's something missing on the frt axle though

Sounds like fun, are you going to test the needles yourself or farm that out to subcontractors from brockton

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

my power steering is kicking my ass. I know hydro would be wonderful for 40's, but its not in the cards at the moment, and I should be able to pound the pavement just fine with these parts.

"new" reman j20 box

new" reman saginaw pump (second try).i bolt everything together, put fluid in it and i have power steering for a few seconds, feels great. then I go to actually move the truck and nothing.

I go for a drive and never get power steering.

I put the front axle on jackstands and it steers exactly the same (maybe even easier) with the truck not running than it running.

No power steering whine at all, nothing.

I have never had a defective box do something like this before. Sucks I already drilled and tapped it for hydro assist (went smoothly, I am very certain I didn't get any metal shavings into the box). maybe they wont look in the box and see a couple gaping holes when i return it. (currently have threaded plugs in there, and no, they aren't restricting flow)

i'd say the issue is the pump. Not much in the box that can cause that except if they completely forgot to put multiple seals in.

Especially the fact that it's not whining at all. Every time i've replace a box it's whined for a few minutes of driving till all the air works itself out of the system.

I just wouldn't expect two pumps in a row to be junk. It worked fine for a few seconds, then no power at all. which is a little baffling to me.
