THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Dave, how much do you want for it? I'm really hoping my tcase isn't dead yet but if it's cheap enough I might get it anyways, the worst thing that could happen to me right now is not being able to get to work. Colin, if you end up bringing it up here I owe you big time. If you do, and have time, I can give you a tour of the shop if you'd like.

Call Lawless Jeep (They're on Lexington St. in Woburn - 781-376-2500). The part number is 68001627AA. See if they have one.
Not only do they have it, they are open till 8pm tonight. Thanks a ton.

you got hollands junkyard and used jacks in billarica
Jacks is where I got my transmission crossmember and early V8 ZJ front driveshaft for the SYE. They have NP231s listed for $50, I might get one as insurance.

That reminds me. Pat, there is a 5 speed late model XJ there right now. Someone has pulled the driveline already and mangled some things in the process but the floor blockoff plate and such are still present. I swiped the console shift bezel and boot, the boot isn't in the best shape, you can have em if you end up doing the swap with Stefan's parts. Their prices are reasonable, they charged me $50 for a driveshaft in great condition and $25 for the crossmember and boot.

StarParts, PAIS, and DealerConnect?????
Nah, just the factory parts catalogs. Never heard of those.

How about a driver's seat cushion for a 1986 Chrysler Conquest?

high back cushion or low back cushion?

Assuming high back, and that 84 is close enough (I can't find the 86 catalog for those) the part numbers are:
MB44 4930 - red cloth
MB44 4929 - beige cloth
MB44 4928 - gray cloth
MB44 4918 - red leather
MB44 2223 - beige leather
MB44 2222 - gray leather

:spin1:

That is just the cushion cover, if you want the thigh support or the whole cushion assembly the numbers are different.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

It needs to warm up quick so I can have a little motivation to work on the jeep

i have only gone to jacks once to geta drive shaft they had on a shelf. i like hollands because a better selection of jeeps in the yard you can haggle the price a bit more because they just make it up on the spot plus its a you pull it

so dundy is more technology advanced than a man who builds flying cars?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Jack's is you-pull-it, at least in the winter when it's cold and they don't want to go outside :roflmao:

I showed up and was like "so you have it listed on car-part... is it on a shelf? do you pull it? should I wait?" and they're like "go knock yourself out, or we'll pull it for 10 bucks"

Hollands tried to charge me $275 for a turbo I found on the ground full of water with some significant side play once. They lowered that to $75 when I laughed and told them they could keep it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

$75 is steal for that kind of garbage. Bet you couldn't wait to get home and slap that baby on your porch!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

All yours, I just grabbed it because I figured they would charge me almost nothing for it and I know they're NLA and impossible to find. If you need the floor blockoff plate too (you probably want it) I bet you can get it for under ten bucks... bring an angle grinder, in my experience the bolt that holds both the tcase shifter and that blockoff plate down always spins its rivnut instead of coming loose.

if they could do that with gear oil I'd buy it.

Ken, your case will be fine. I drove one without fluid in it (failed seal) for probably 15 miles at freeway speeds. It's still fine today after output seal replacement/fill.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I drove it for anywhere from 10 to 60 miles without fluid, guessing by the fact that I can't reach the fluid with my finger through the hole.
