Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

First of all, I am a retard and managed to leave my tcase fill plug loose last night, and it apparently came out on the way to work today.

Second, I lost all my tcase fluid and I'm not sure if it's gonna be seized up or melted when I go to drive home. Only noticed when I got to work. I know it was fine this morning.

Third, anyone in the area and have an NP231 (preferably 96-01 style) sitting around they want to sell, or at least the fill plug, depending on my luck? Will buy case or plug, either way.

(*&#(*@^%(*)#&^%(*&)^$#@()*^#( this is why I shouldn't finish projects after being awake for 40 hours straight.

I don't think it is... fairly fine threads. If it is, I guess I'll find my way to a hardware store somehow.

edit: M22x1.5 threads, I'm hosed unless someone has one.

Are you around tonight? I can grab one from Mopar (~$4) and drop it off to you. We can swap the lower kingpin caps too. Shoot me a text.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Congrats Adam..

Ken I should have a spare plug around if you cant find locally..
The real problem is I'm basically stuck at work till I can find one :(

PROBLEM SOLVED...

Closest hardware store is a couple miles away. I might just stick ten layers of duct tape over it and limp to the nearest junkyard for parts

It looks like a place in billerica has tcases for 50 apiece, worst case I can rent a car and go get one. Just hope I didn't burn up the seal and bearing in the brand new SYE with this stupidity... or preferably any of the other bearings, or the shift fork bushings.

edit: Adam, I am, but I don't have the kingpin caps with me because I forgot. And I'm way the hell up in Woburn.

Call Lawless Jeep (They're on Lexington St. in Woburn - 781-376-2500). The part number is 68001627AA. See if they have one.

He's probably looking at the same parts catalog I am :laugh2:

Ken, I've got a 231 with SYE sitting at Pat's house if you're interested. Might even be able to get it to you if needed.

If it's sitting at Pat's house in Sudbury, I can grab it and bring it up to an exit off 495 or something if that helps?

Assuming I'm not meeting with the priest for our wedding this afternoon. Haven't heard back from Kate yet on that.
