Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I only got about 1/3rd of my parts today that I was hoping for, so I was heading out to the garage to do pretty much nothing.

Neighbor kid saw my light on and came over to ask if I had a pilot bearing puller (I do)...long story short his buddy wrecked the pilot bearing in his 88 YJ and they had the trans out and I did the rest of the clutch job for them. Kid now thinks he hit the next-door-neighbor lottery. To have a neighbor who knows a half-dozen different ways of removing pilot bearings and has used every one of them on a jeep inline 6...

Wait til I get mine fired up...gotta keep the karma flowing while I can :D

I don't get how one bad day at rocktoberfest people think all the one ton rigs don't cover much ground. I've had many times this year and last where ever covered a lot of ground there. Can't include a group that doesn't know when to let off or pull cable. Also there was a reason we were all pulling cable up Pete's pass, ask Bill
Just glad I landed how I did.
If its long enough to work with a little, just pull the boot back and re-attach and re-crimp the plug clip back onto the wire. You can usually use a pair of needle nose pliers to open the crimp back up, put the plug wire back in it and re-crimp it very tightly again. If you don't know how to crimp these plug clips onto spark plug wires correctly, do some research on it first. The core of the wire has to be contacting the plug clip in the crimp.
I am surprised you read this crap thread.
Yup no fun for me.

Yeah I got them. Gave the check to some lady that said you owed her rent anyway.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So last night I finally finished organizing all the hardware I collected over the 3 years of building my MJ.

I filled up 3 small suitcase bin organizers from HF, and one larger one. Bolts/nuts/washers from #8 up to 7/8" (no 3/4" stuff). Everytime I needed a certain bolt or washer I would just buy a box from McMaster. Having all that spare hardware has definitely saved my ass a few times.

Now to organize all the AN/pipe fittings

Dbdave, that mj you alerted me on unfortunately is an 86 with a 3spd auto, so it had 3.55s. Everything else was either busted, rusted, or gone, that thing belongs in the crusher at this point, its a piece of shit. Thanks for the heads up though, no telling what could have been on it.

Anyone want to make a 96- XJ/MJ 80s as hell? There is an 88 wagoneer at sams right now with a 100% complete, undamaged 4-headlight nose and all related trim and reflectors. First time I have ever seen one in that good condition at the yard.
