THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm going to continue to use mine as a learning platform to learn as much as I can about suspensions (rear 4 link, shock valving, etc.). I've already learned a bunch about even dumb stuff such as wiring, plumbing, engine tuning, axles, etc. The front spring rate on mine feels beautiful along with the revalving I did, but it's tough to dial it in any further with the rear bouncing everywhere from the super awesome leaf springs.

I'd love to use one of those new tremec 4WD transmissions in a Line Mtn buggy. Real close ratio 6 speed. In order to still be able to rock crawl though, you'd need a 4:1 crawlbox to an NP205 to have a useable low range since the trans ratios are so tall. I'd just be afraid of ruining the damn thing.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

do it. I'll donate a dollar to replacing it if it gets ruined

Trailing arms. Coilovers attatched to the uppers. Because it looks cool.

I might do it if I still have my j10 8 years from now.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

With the current limitations of my MJ, I don't think trailing arms would do much for me.

Plus you can still win Line Mtn/RCRocs with a single shock at the axle. Been done plenty of times.

I'd rather upgrade my steering than sink more money into trailing arms.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

just do both, slacker

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Chris is the only guy who would be turned down in the red light district

Pretty sure I would too, I just don't post stories lol. Fortunately red light districts don't really interest me :gee:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm just going to start with bumping up my return line to either a -8 or -10 and getting an appropriately sized cooler with a fan like my oil cooler.

Maybe bump the feed to -12 too. That should already help a bunch.

I'd love to step up to a quicker orbital and sell mine too...

I wish I had money.

I think they're postponing that NEA snow run.
called it didn't I?

so extra gumby-strength high steer arms?

Careful Ken, this could be taken two different ways... :D

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm one of the few people who bothered to come to work today....I haven't done anything, and don't plan to either. But man it's gonna be boring.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I don't know, I still enjoy the fact that my high steer arms are the fuse when I rail a tree

Rather than bending a spindle, ****ing up a hub, or whatever.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Who cares if its worth it? Looks badass is why I wanna do it.

Opinions: Weld washers for 1/4" control arm brackets or don't bother?

Because homeowner.

**** yes if you plan on racing. I bought some for my 5/16" brackets after seeing that they're already starting to wallow out a bit.

Just buy the axle side brackets from Timmay. 4130 brackets with TIG welded washers. Because racecar.
