Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

What the hell? The price is going down $500/week. Who does that? Is that like bumping a sale thread?
Haha, keeps at at the top of the current page!
Weird though...
i see it jumped almost $100K in October? WTF is that about?

Looks like it changed realtors, but a good indication of what they might be willing to sell for.

Let me tell you all about finding hidden rot in houses

My house is like my jeeps, basket cases with hidden problems when I got them, then I turned them into basket cases with very visible problems and used them anyways.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Would anybody here be interested in buying my MIG welder? I can include a full bottle of gas with it too, complete proven setup ready to go. Only reason is because I'm thinking of upgrading welders.

On a side note, I now own 3 welding bottles and a nitrogen bottle. What's a good regular/hose setup for charging shocks/airbumps? Might as well use the nitrogen since I have it now.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

There is a difference better painting and re-painting and stripping (which is what is probably needed if the current paint is bad).

I'll shutup now.

It just needs repainting for cosmetics. When I say it's bad, I'm just used to seeing our house where the paint is in good shape, and this house it's faded.

It's only chipping off/really bad in one spot, the wooden frame where they put in a window. They replaced the frame for that window and did a shit job painting it.

I'm not trying to tell you to shutup, I'm just being realistic. For the location that I want, I'm not going to get a perfect dream house with absolutely no problems. I'm totally fine with fixing stuff as long as it's not several grand (like a furance/burner or septic system).

I have no problem working with a seller to try to get them to pay for stuff, or take money off and I do it myself. I'm not going to buy the house if we can't work anything out. I would never pay $260k for it.

I just don't think you give me enough credit. I may not have built a house or be a carpenter/plumber/HVAC dude or whatever, but I know when a house is a pile of shit and not worth it.

Talk to Scott about rotted shit, I know he found stuff after buying his. Sure he can give some good pointers

I've been talking to him about stuff for sure. Thanks dude.

Colin, if it makes you feel better I don't give a shit about where or what kind of house you buy.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Same, as long as the toilet is comfortable to drunkpuke in.

Dude, I don't even care about that. If it's not my house I'll gladly take a shit on the floor if there's no toilet.

Did I say anything about pooping you dickmilker? NO I ****ING DIDNT. I was talking about drunkpuking which is a sacred and holy activity that requires the best of facilities. Get your ****ing facts right next time.

Letting all that good puke go to waste and just flushing it all down the toilet! You're a real piece of shit you know that!?

I'm giving you credit by all means, it's just I know how easy it is to get blindsided about some things. Loving lots about it and then thinking sometime like the furnace/heating system is a bargaining point is a joke. Really do you think the current owner will even have a good/better system put in or do you think it'll be the lowest bidder? Paint chipping in on spot means the rest is close to follow wether it looks it of not (screwdriver test it). If you are serious, get the write off amount and do it all yourself / your own subs. At least then you know it's done good.

For me at that $250K+- price range there are a lot better places out there with better lots (more land) and quieter location if you get out of Amherst and move to the surrounding towns. I just don't want to bash every house you look at. I don't want it to seem like nothing is every good enough, but for what is out there, eh you know what I mean. I know the commute thing isn't a big deal to you but I'm just not sure what else Amherst has to offer that the other towns don't; given the other towns have a better school system, lower tax rate and are only a 5-10 minute addition to the ride to go get groceries or whatever.

For the location that I want, I'm not going to get a perfect dream house with absolutely no problems.
That right there makes me think you are selling yourself short there and setting just because and IMO that is foolish.

In the end, as long as you two are happy is all that matters. So again (and for real this time), I'll shutup and keep it to myself unless specially asked. ;)

Listen, just because you have the wonderful talent of puking up gourmet meals doesn't mean all of us are master chefs, ok? I've been practice puking for over a decade now and I'm still nowhere near your level, so cut me some slack because my insufficient talent certainly isn't from lack of trying. Everyone's a regular ****ing Gordon Ramsey these days...
