I just bought the first new piece of gear for my guitar rig in over 5 years I think, maybe longer.
My little up/down foot selector for my rack FX unit was starting to act up and it annoyed me. This thing doesn't do anything on its own, but it'll work with my rack unit and has amp channel switching capability too, which you can program into the different presets. So one button can changes patches on my FX unit and change the amp channel/reverb at the same time.
I like being behind the curve on technology, because by the time I come across something 'cool', it's already ancient and cheap.
My rack unit is from 1996 (Boss GX700), I bought my primary guitar in 1998 (Jackson USA Soloist SL1), I bought my primary amp in 1997 (Ampeg VH140C), and my acoustic has been in the family since 1968 and was the first guitar I ever played. I fear change. :dunce:
But I'll still put any of it up against the newest/most modern amps & effects out there. **** that 'modeling' bullshit...
