THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Looks like it was cut and bent, then extended with random rebar. I love me some z-links!

Steering must be vague as hell with that flexy thing in there.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

anyone know a good suburban forum. all the chevy forums I find seem like shit. I guess were spoiled with NAXJA its all divided up into sub-forums. most of the ones I find are just one big forum with any kind of post, any year truck, any model truck.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

It's Thursday. 99 still? I'm fine either way. Just seeing what everyone is up to.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Just found out that our vendor charged us $416 to replace a backup light on one of my tractors. Somehow this charge didn't raise any red flags for my maintenance coordinator, which I find scary.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Possibly.

I might be working late for the fourth day in a row.

Hopefully be out of here by 6-6:30. I'd be able to get there by 7:30-8.
gross, good luck.

I've got some stuff I should get to at home, too...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

You find out if they're cutting down your week yet?
By the rules, they have to let us know by Weds 3/27. 30 days notice, and it's said to start on 4/26.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So Im debating some stuff.

I have a mint 88 motor that is in good shape. 135k
My 98 has 217k

To do a stroker id need a 4.2 crank and bearings am I correct?

Also Id need some pistons with a lower compression ratio if I wanted to use the turbo I have sitting around.

Unless their is one that uses a 4.2 crank and has a comp ratio of 8.5-9 to 1?

Doing the standard 'budget' stroker build (4.2 crank & rods, 4.0 pistons), leaving the head gasket thickness stock, and not decking the head at all yields a pretty low compression in the range you're looking for. No problem at all running on regular pump gas.

Winning. I will most likely go this route then.

It seems feasable and like something that me and my dad can do and have a good time with. I doubt Ill use the turbo I have but will a standard budget stroker be low enough compression to boost? Running premium or mid grade gas?
