THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I was home early enough to take a few minutes and nut and bolt my steering upgrades, as well as toss new bolts in the steering box. 4" ones work fine with the stock thick washers, got two threads sticking out the box and used loctite. All ready for this stupid snow we are getting now.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

195K. No reason it should have blown up, there's a ton of them out there with twice that that are modified awesomely. I'm not sure how, but it must have hydrolocked a cylinder. Whenever I get around to pulling it and taking it apart maybe things will be a bit clearer. Oh well though, shit happens i guess.

Yeah definitely sucks. No fault of the engine, maybe the injectors didn't get replaced soon enough? All speculation until you tear it apart.

If you need help with it one weekend let me know.

Also

Seriously. Couple shop-improvement things to do first, but I'm close to actually being able to be productive.

I'm not sure what I'll be doing with what just yet. My VW needs attention some minor attention. Gotta get the necessities straightened out before I worry about toys.

Hurry up and start working on toys.

maaaaybe, but I don't think so- once it started running rough I drove it (very easy) for <100 miles. But yep, speculation.

Thanks :)

Okaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay

I hate how I got this figured out and now it's almost warm again. Can I have 3 more months of winter dammit? I'm not sure if it will burn veggie oil, but I have 100 gallons of it  Got about 35 gal of waste automotive fluids in the tank currently. Tempted to stick with what works and deal with veggie oil when/if I need to.

Ordered a new battery for my SV yesterday.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I just passed the Ross homestead!

How many eggs did you whoop at it?

One time I was driving past Ross's house and he was outside working on some random car. So naturally I rolled down my window, flipped him off while yelling "***GOOOTTTT!!!" at the top of my lungs while laying into the horn. Then I passed Ross's house again, and realized the last house I passed wasn't his and I just flipped off a complete stranger.

Once you get it out, have a spare key made on a flat (non rubber) blank at home depot and stick it in your wallet. Being a forgetful person has taught me that this is necessary.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I can open and start my jeep with any ho year jeep key, and can remove key whenever and keep it running

Ken did you go to SAMs? Yet

In the first and 2nd gen SHOs you could start the car, remove the key with it running, kill ignition but still keep it in the on position, and restart the car without the key in. Ford did it by design, too.

The guy I'm training has AAA. Much easier than going to Home Depot. They already showed up and got it open.
