Have you called a place like PPE or Merchant-Automotive?
I know those guys usually deal with huge power motors, just wondering if they sold "stock" or "close to stock" engine longblocks as well.

Might be worth the phone call.

so I think Im going to buy MrSimons 2500 suburban. I know its not a diesel, but with the 454 it will tow fine, and I can live in the dam thing if I have to.

but the big thing that convinced me is that it works. Im a little nervous to spend a ton of money on something that's broken. Im going to stew on this a little while longer, but I think Im sold.

thats not a bad idea. you know Jordan put a good amount of money into it so that it doesnt need anything and should be pretty reliable. for the small amount of times/miles youll be using it it should be fine.
