Anyone think the leaf perches on an axle being 5/8" wider than the stock ones is an issue? That's 5/16" per side. I'm real tempted to just say FIRI and see if it will bolt in.

Peterbuilt did that years ago with a 14bolt without issue, i was able to get the 10.25 under the jeep and the 60 to

Need advice finally going to get off my ass and do my rear shocks, so ideas on how to mount them not using the factory mounts?
I was thinking of welding to the rails? Or is that stupid and im tired so should hit the sack?

You'll never get enough travel or a good angle with them on the rails, punch the busted bolts + nuts out with a BFH and a drift and then fish new ones in.

Unless they are held in with really big welds like on a 96, then tack weld shocks to the unibody in the stock location and sell it immediately.

So, 6 months after I got in a small accident with my Honda, (some spoiled house wife driving a massive Infinity SUV who got into the left lane then took a right and sideswiped me as I drove straight, who then got out and bitched me out), and after our two insurance companies failed to settle who was at fault, I was told the claim was dead in the water. 1 month later, I was informed out of the blue last week they were going to arbitration, then found out this weekend they ruled 100% in my favor. Now I can fix my car without paying $1300+ for it, and a tiny bit of my faith in humanity has been restored.

It's always great when things go well in the end... too bad they didn't just own up to it in the first place.

FYI, in my neck of the woods, bank appraisal and town valuation have nothing to do with each other. Two different things. One you want high, one you want low.
