THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

For those of you more experienced with Dana axles, does this look right to you? It seems like the ring gear is hanging awfully far over the hole for the crosspin. I knew I would have to 'massage' the ring gear a little, but this looks like I'll have to take almost half of two teeth off. I took the measurements, and it is a 3.93 and up carrier, and I didn't order thick cut gears.

No dude, dont listen to colin, just chop off 2 ring gear teeth. Its no big deal really, there are always like 3 to 6 teeth always in contact anyway, it will be fine if a couple are completely missing.

do any of you live or work near Orange, MA? My friend, a priest, is looking at a vehicle out there but wants a Jeep person to take a closer look at it first. Wondering if anyone is nearby that could take a look.

I never listen to Colon. I was being retarded and thinking the cross pin had to go in last, forgetting it there aren't any c-clips to worry about.:dunce:

Finally got a decent pattern after 5 or 6 tries.

That looks to deep to me. I'd back the pinion off 3-5 thou and see what that does.
