THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

bought those sockets, and another pair of prothanes. gonna hold off on air bumps for now and make sure everything else is working right before i start going crazy.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

nice. I love my gearwrench thru ratchet sets. I got craftsman sockets but I'm probably going to be ordering a couple gearwrench ratchets sooner than later. The craftsman sockets are fine but the ratchets themselves are "meh" at best.

lol

what say you guys about PS pumps? since my stock one was whining and i cracked the resi i figure i might as well but something more worthwhile in there in prep for assist. should i just get a basic saginaw pump and get a remote resi?

polyperformance sells a bracket to run a chevy p series pump on a 4.0 liter. if i ever need another pump in any xj i own i would do that.

Tonight is a good night. Gin and tonic, new top gear, and a 1/2 buff chix and 1/2 bbq chix pizza.

Yeah, I had a husky that was pretty nice, but I think I preferred my stanley ratchet over the craftsman ones I have now or even over the husky I used. Idk if the newer stanley stuff sucks (or if I just got lucky and got a real good one) but that ratchet took an unbelievable beating for 4 or 5 years before it finally died with dignity with me throwing my 250lbs of weight onto a 4' length of tube as a cheater bar on it. :roflmao:

come to think of it I still have my husky somewhere, I should dig that out and toss it in my craftsman box... I think it was in my shitty tool box that got dumped out in the back seat of the Jeep so it should be back there somewhere... unless it fell out

FML

I finished the assembling the 60. Got the PS shaft all clearanced up and the entire PS outer all done. Just as I'm tightening the flanges on, I remembered I forgot to torque the spindle nuts down.

oh no! a whole 5 minutes of work wasted!

I cant get the slugs back out. Theyre brandy new and tight, I dont have any bolts to use to get my puller in there. I also gotta pull the DS apart to clearance the inner shaft more. I called it a night.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

And craftsman is overpriced garbage.

I'd debate that. I use Craftsman sockets and wrenches everyday at work, and I'm not nice to them. I think I've only broken one or two in over two years. The ratchets are junk though, I'll never use one again, I busted too many knuckles when they skipped teeth. Snap-On is the way to go for ratchets, they may be expensive but they're worth every penny.

so 40 for a bracket, 40 for a pulley, 25 for a new belt, and how much for a pump? already 100 deep without even buying that.
