nice. I love my gearwrench thru ratchet sets. I got craftsman sockets but I'm probably going to be ordering a couple gearwrench ratchets sooner than later. The craftsman sockets are fine but the ratchets themselves are "meh" at best.
lol
what say you guys about PS pumps? since my stock one was whining and i cracked the resi i figure i might as well but something more worthwhile in there in prep for assist. should i just get a basic saginaw pump and get a remote resi?
yea i have a husky pro, and craftsman socket wrench. the husky is actually really nice, way nice than the craftsman.
FML
I finished the assembling the 60. Got the PS shaft all clearanced up and the entire PS outer all done. Just as I'm tightening the flanges on, I remembered I forgot to torque the spindle nuts down.
oh no! a whole 5 minutes of work wasted!
And craftsman is overpriced garbage.
Lol seriously.
polyperformance sells a bracket to run a chevy p series pump on a 4.0 liter. if i ever need another pump in any xj i own i would do that.
I'd debate that. I use Craftsman sockets and wrenches everyday at work, and I'm not nice to them. I think I've only broken one or two in over two years. The ratchets are junk though, I'll never use one again, I busted too many knuckles when they skipped teeth. Snap-On is the way to go for ratchets, they may be expensive but they're worth every penny.
Just run a stock pump and do the fitting mod.
Add a cooler and your assist and I'd bet youre fine.
they kick way more dick than anything that bolts in stock. and mo reliableso 40 for a bracket, 40 for a pulley, 25 for a new belt, and how much for a pump? already 100 deep without even buying that.
the ratchets do suck. but i cant buy just craftsman sockets for cheap like that gearwrench set.
