I also found out yesterday that I dont stand a chance of going out on any of these big recovery jobs, because I am "to valuable in the shop". It pisses you off a bit when after wasting m own timeon training, as well as my own money on my cdl, I only get to go out and do the fun shit when its not busy in the shop, aka never. Instead then new guy that got hired a week ago to work on campers went out to help.

I don't get how people don't like bacon.

I understand not liking mayonaisse, because it's sauce made from smashed up unborn chicken fetuses.

But I'll eat the shit out of a shaved side of pig anyday.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Hey parts number gurus, I need some part numbers or places to find parts. I need the foam that the heater core/AC evaporator goes through in the firewall, and anyone know where I can get a new blend door?

Adam would probably be able to help.

If not, any reason you can't just grab some foam from home depot or something and cut it to shape? Not a very hard shape to mimic.

What's wrong with the blend door?

Funny enough, home depot didn't have any foam. I know because I went there last week and they told me they didn't.

Eh, that would be a pain to reproduce and cut out the holes. A lot easier to get a new piece. Plus its like a rubbery foam, not like most of the foam I've seen at the local hardware store, who didn't have sheets of foam that big.

Old foam/rubber that has had the shape of the openings permanently depressed into it. I put more foam on it to help seal it last weekend, but now that I don't have to have it together in a few hours to drive it again, thinking about replacing it for piece of mind.

WTF are you talking about? Everyone likes bacon.

Oh that sucks. What about running to a JY and grabbing one that looks good? I just have a hard time believing the dealer would even stock that. But ya never know.

Isn't it just a rectangle with rounded edges and 4 holes in it? How would that be a pain to reproduce?

Yeah I don't blame you I guess, depending on the price.

I'm showing 2 part numbers for your '91 Briarwood:

Seal, Heater Core Tubes to Dash
56006310 - Heater
56006312 - Air Conditioning

56006312 is probably if you have air con and 56006310 is probably is you don't have air con.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I have a strong feeling I'm going to be hacking apart my transmission tunnel completely in order to get my drivetrain up high enough for the 440 manifolds to clear the frame rails.

Chris, do you have pics handy of how you redid your floor?

I'm too lazy.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

This tard kept the trans low and cut out all the frame to fit his 454. I'm sure many of you remember his build.

I'm just going to lift the whole drivetrain up. Which should also help with keeping the NV4500 tucked up above the frame rails.
