Ha, I went through this same thing last week with some friends. We had to look it up, its called a hash tag (its a faulking pound sign people) and its used to index posts and group them into categories, and make them searchable.

Not in the UK. They refer to that button on their phones as the 'hash key'.

Calling it the pound sign would confuse it with £.

Damn. I remembered that the Bruins are playing the LA Kings next week and hoped it would be a kings home game so I could try and catch the game while out on my business trip. Bruins are the home team Oh well, I'll be at Dave & Buster's that night anyway. Hopefully the game will be on.

Edit: And the game starts at 7PM eastern so I'll probably be stuck at a sales conference instead of watching the game until at least 5. Weak.

yeah i had it explained to me but i cant completely grasp the concept, guess you have to be in on the tweeting to understand. i'm completely fine with being on the outside though
