THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

anybody know anything about husky brand compressors? the regulator broke off of mine a while ago and i havent done anything about it- need a new one. but i want to build the hutch next to my house for my compressor/jack/etc before it stops being nice out.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

The regulator should be easy to find, I think it'll just have a NPT fitting and screw into the compressor outlet. Any of the Campbell-Hausfield stuff should interchange.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Hey Mark, I just sold 3 vises .!. :D .!.

that works. the plastic inside piece (the regulator) broke inside the fitting on the outlet. i'll make a home depot run this week and grab something.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Before or after the pressure switch?

If it's after, just say XXXXit and screw the quick disconnect right into the damn thing. When do you ever need to turn the outlet pressure down?

To keep pressure in the tank but let it out of the line or only put a certain amount into the line if the tools have a pressure limit. That's how my dad's is plumbed.

That said, I always had it wide open.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

its got a big dumb plastic cover on it, so idk how its plumbed. prob like anthony said since i have 0 pressure out of the tank with the piece that broke being... broken.

That's what the disconnect is for...?

Mine is just tank -> pressure switch -> disconnect. If I unhook the air hose from it, the tank stays pressurized.

My gauges & regulator all got busted off years ago. I decided they weren't worth replacing, because as long as the switch works, I really don't care how much pressure is in the tank.

Any tool that needs a lower pressure to operate (paint gun, plasma cutter, etc) usually has its own regulator anyway.

You also have a franken-drill press, don't use "safety" guards, and don't measure anything when you fabricate :dunce:

And I bet all 3 of the people who bought those vises are going to do more than just take pictures of them... .!.:D.!.

They just bought the kit...

Believe it or not, one guy bought 2. Imagine how one person could need more than one! :shiver:

You can sit around all day moping about not having a tool or piece of equipment, and not get anything done...or you can improvise with what you have and GSD, bitch. :D

I'm still amused by the fact that he actually had 3 vises to sell...

Speaking of GSD. My boss's boss GSD's with logistics/manpower/admin stuff like I've never seen before from someone that works here. 3 emails to him about how I didn't have work to do and by the end of this week I should have 2 options. Last week I was ready to quit but knew it would be a dumb financial decision.

I got $350 total for them, too :D

i tried doing that....

hacked up my steering linkage, over-reamed a pitman arm, fully welded my trackbar mount in the wrong place...

oops.

Wait.

So you had to tell someone a few levels up the chain, 3 times, that all they're doing is paying you to sit on your ass? And then they're going to continue to do that for another week before someone does something about it?

And that's a remarkable display of GSD where you work?

Shit, you must be surrounded by a bunch of mouthbreathers. If I went to my boss and told him I didn't have anything to do, I guarantee within the next 5 minutes I'd have a mountain of stuff on my desk.

And that's why I *don't* tell him that. :helpme:
