THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Anyone got a better deal than ruffstuff for spring perches and u-bolt plates?

Yeah I could just make my own or I could just order the kit and be done with it.

I'm thinking I might just cut the perches off the 9" and weld on new perches (instead of shimming the axle) when I install the SYE. Only reason I'm considering doing so is because I"m pretty sure the holes in one of the perches on the axle is pretty wallowed out.

Bill saved money by running a NP231. Colin runs no wipers.

What will Rob and Ross do?
i got a oversized wiper on the drivers side, it came off a late model dmax, and im running a $100 pair of miata seats, thats my money saver there

Eh don't worry about it. I don't have anywhere to mount em I don't think so its not the end of the world. Unless they're slightly shorter than my shocks in which case I guess I could just toss em right on the shock tabs. They'd have to be like 29" tops for that I think. No worries tho duderrr

PM sent.

And if I found a HO MJ back when I was car shopping I would be DD'ing a comanche right now. Will probably go back to shopping for one after I get my own house just to get a cheap beater truck if I can afford one.
I beat the bag off my MJ so much that everyone including me thinks I'm going home on a flatbed... then I DD it to NYC and back.

I decided to stop and put new shocks on the front at a rest stop in CT as soon as it got sunny and the ground dried up though.

selling my 4 cylinder comanche to colin was the dumbest thing i ever did.

it ran and drove perfect, got 27 mpg, and now i lose to it in offroad races
I bet your 4 cylinder wrangler will win if you race it next year.

I just spent 5 hours debugging a circuit that matched a known good design perfectly. For some reason it just didn't work.

Then I discovered, entirely by accident, that digikey sold us 24.9kohm resistors in a bag marked as 100pf capacitors  only giveaway was that they were black epoxy coated instead of grey ceramic... seeing as they were less than 1mm long I never really noticed till I went over the circuit with a magnifying glass.

Made it to North Lincoln, NH for the night. Fun ride down 20 miles of rt. 112.

I averaged 18 MPG in the 5.9 ZJ, can't complain about that. Running great. We'll see how it does tomorrow... :)

who populated the board?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

who populated the board?
I populated that part :dunce:

Someone else managed to populate a 47pf capacitor in the position for C68 (a spare spot, left empty intentionally) as well as the same part in C63 where it was supposed to go. Those parts are in parallel, and in an RF bandpass filter... it wasn't helpful

The guy who did that assembled most of the boards. He's better at making solder look pretty (since he had better tools to play with) but not as good at putting parts in the right place. At least mine said they were the right parts on the package :dunce:

I'm sure that experience has induced some reluctance towards trusting digikey's capacity to provide correct parts.

:dunce:
Ya might say that. I'm definitely giving them an earful tomorrow.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm sure you'll encounter some resistance...that's sure to be a polarizing conversation.
I don't have the capacity to deal with your puns right now, go ohm.

Weren't we just discussing puns?

I dunno watt you're talking about anyway...but joule be pleased to know we can continue this conversation tomorrow evening...hell, i knew tonight was gonna be a waste anyway.

:D

If i ever lose the ability to amuse myself, someone please shoot me.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I have a feeling both of us are going to get punched at fall crawl for all of this.
