THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I suck at cutting stuff to the right length. And I'm using 2x2x.25 square. Muchhhh cheaper! And it can't be that weak if Clayton has had good luck with it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'll know by tonight if I'm going. So if I go, and your fag butt wants to meet at my house in the morning I'll drive my Jeep up there and wheel.

WHASSYOADDRESSSON!!!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Need advice. I've got the whole top side of my 2x6 welded in for the rockers. I think I need some kind of support underneath. I will be doing legs from the frame to the bottom when I do frame stiffeners. But should I leave it alone for now and do the legs when I get the stiffeners on, or should I address it now somehow? The stiffeners WILL be on before NAC Fest. But I kind of want to wheel at Johhny's tomorrow.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I welded the legs on prior to welding the rocker in place. This allowed me to pull it out and weld all four sides of the leg to rocker attachment. It also let me grab the underside and the inside facing edge of the replacement rocker for greater strength. You can't really do that now, so get the stiffeners on and then the legs. It'll be fine.

I figured it would be tough to get the top side of the legs welded but I think I can grab it still.

Thanks Bill. I had almost sent you a few pictures and called you but figured you are/were at work.

Call anytime Keith.
My way may not be the best way for doing it, so don't follow me. :)

Here's two pictures kinda showing the profile of the leg (it wasn't sitting perfect in the 1st pic so don't mind the sheetmetal gaps):

I signed up during the early summer of '05. It has changed so very very much since then.

I signed up in late(ish) '04, the facebook craze hit our school in fall of '04 and I think I was one of the last of my college friends who signed up. I just didn't see the point but ended up getting talked into making a profile for some reason.

And yes, it has changed a ton, though I still rarely use it. Hell, my new phone even has a facebook app so I am always logged in... I still don't find any reason to check it. :dunno:

I'm sure they are fine Travis.
Hey as long as they are strong enough and attached well enough that they don't end up at the bottom of the door window opening your all good! :)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Wtf. I just went to ebay and in the center of the page there is an "upgrade your 4x4" link advertising shocks, winches, lights, tires, etc with a jeep in the background.

I don't necessarily like this customized ad bullshit that companies use these days.

Just blame the birds that were flying overhead the whole time. Worked for me on my first few welding projects :dunce:
