Am I still ordering you some tube? If so, PM me... I meant to figure out what/where/how the cage was going to work this weekend, but instead I ended up reworking the whole rear setup due to a minor tire clearance issue.
I also blew some money on a tent, so I have to wait until this Friday (really Monday once I figure out the quantity) to start calling on prices now anyway.

All that progress I made last weekend was good, except that the tire contacted the coilover with about 3.5" left of compression to go. Took almost all day Saturday to rework the mounts and angle them as such that I could use almost all the 14" of travel. Took a lot of time that I didn't expect as it was a bunch of "tack, assemble, flex, remove, repeat" until I got a happy medium. As I have it now, I am limiting myself by 1/2" uptravel and 3/8" droop. No big deal really as I would need to have the bumpstops and limit straps stop the suspension before the coilovers reached the end of the travel anyway. I'll put more details in the thread in a minute.

As with everything I've seen to have done, had I known about this I would have done some other things differently.


Side question: Any of you ladies know where to get Vera Bradley stuff at a decent price? Angel wants some items from them and the prices direct are kinda nuts!

so, i was bored and just decided to pull the shafts and hubs outta marks old D30. i found something very interesting on the DS ball joints (upper and lower), they were welding in with a bead a 1/4 way around the top of each joint. i would hate to find something like that on anything that need ball joints, thankful i dont plan on touching them

That wasn't me. I noticed that when I first picked up the axle, but I had completely forgot about that.
