THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Mark, you'd fit right in down the Cape. Have you ever driven (or in) a CJ5 or 7? I really want one but they're not great for anyone over 5'10, and they'll knock your fillings out. With that said, I still want one at some point.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I have not, but I don't think anything about the seat or suspension would be original, so I would be all set in that department.

I also want a CJ5, and Mark and I don't really have that height issue to worry about. :D

In the 'learn something new every day' category, it turns out that there really is a physical Jeep ailment you can get.

Warning, it ain't pretty.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pilonidal_cyst

The condition was widespread in the United States Army during World War II. More than eighty thousand soldiers having the condition required hospitalization.[12] It was termed "jeep seat or "Jeep riders' disease", because a large portion of people who were being hospitalized for it rode in jeeps, and prolonged rides in the bumpy vehicles were believed to have caused the condition due to irritation and pressure on the coccyx.

John Butler Trio kicks ass. Just puttin' on One Way Road. :D
Nice. He's probably one of my favorite guitarists. Andy McKee is cool, but their styles are a bit different.

Did you buy their CD? I listened to almost everything I could find on Youtube last night.

I think Ocean might be my favorite song by them, but I haven't heard everything they've got to offer just yet. (look at the fingernails on his right hand. That man has dedication)

I love how Andy McKee put all his videos online, it's amazing watching that guy play.

I don't know too much by John Butler. I caught a 3- or 4-song block of his stuff on the Jam On channel on XM, and that's pretty much all I've heard.

If you flip the jaws on that lathe, think it'll chuck up 8" round solid stock?

If so I'm totally gonna drive up there and steal if for a few weeks. kthx.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

XXXX if I know dude.

All I know is it cuts stuff.

By the time we got back last night, Carmelo and I went straight to TBell. Quad steak burrito, and mad chalupas at 10:30 FTW.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

It looks like 8" would be tight... but it's worth checking. I've used a couple lathes very similar to that one. Good little tools and certainly better than no lathe at all.

I think I know what Chris wants to make out of a 8" billet.

That wasn't hard :D

Looks like it has a 9" swing (which means your jaw has to be a little less than 1/2" thick where it grabs the rounds)

The first thing I do when I get a new tool is attempt to find the limits of it. No way I'm the only one that does that.

Hell, when I made my homebrew slow drill press, I grabbed the biggest XXXXing holesaw I could find at the shop to see if it would work.
