ok. im gonna redo the heavy wiring in the truck while im in there too. batteries to ground, starter and main power for both batts. i have 2 in the truck and there will be a deep cycle batt on the trailer for the winch. and eventually when i get rich ill use the same power for the 12k winch im gonna put in the bed.

i found a place del city.com that has most of the ends that i will need. can i just use a punch and hammer to crimp the ends?

delcity is good. I wouldn't use a punch and a hammer but that's just me. Pliers, vise, punch/hammer, all the usual "don't have a crimper" methods people mention just crush the terminal instead of actually compressing/constricting it all the way around the wire, which is how you get a solid connection.

I've got a crimper (but no 2awg dies - yet, like I said), if you're up in this neck of the woods anytime soon bring the wires cut to length and the terminals and I can crimp it all together.

Scotty uses one for his marine electronics business. It's the only cordless drill that I've ever liked. It's super useful, pretty powerful, and very durable. I can't speak highly enough of it.

:shhh: that didn't happen

And worth every penny. If i needed a cordless drill, it's the only one I'd consider. It comes with quite a lot. When I first saw Scotty using it, I was impressed with it's power and I made a comment 'man, for a small cheap drill, that thing does pretty well.' He said he gets it all the time then told me about the company.

I refuse to spend $575 on a friggin cordless drill unless it comes with a bj attachment. And I'm not talking about balljoints, either. I can buy a generator, an extension cord, and a corded drill for that much... and plug my other tools into the generator too.

And they would all wear out before this drill. Scotty has gone through several DeWalt drills and many batteries, some Makita, and Craftsman. I'm just regurgitating what he's told me at the moment, but it really is worth the cash.
