THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Not to mention alot of the trucks have an AT type tires on them.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm getting my JL amp back from the shop today after work. Who knows when I'll put it in.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Any chance you could keep your eye out for some BFG ATs or anything similar? Looking for like a 30/31/245/255 for a 15 inch rim.

I realized that with the ax15 conversion, I need to either regear to 3.07 or put bigger tires on it to make mileage and road speed reasonable, the choice was clear.

Ken, 4.0's love high rpms. Why not leave the 3.55's and stock tires?

1. that's no fun
2. not an excuse for bigger tires
3. I already bought the bigger tires (aside from summer tires)
4. my experience says they love high RPMs, and I love the sound they make at high RPMs, but my wallet does not. I want the MJ to get awesome gas mileage.

Oh its wicked fun, around town mileage goes down quick though. Im rowing thru the gears around town and it sucks more gas. Highway still isnt bad, if you keep your foot outta it. Mines happiest around 60-65, above 75 it just drinks gas. Im looking forward to seeing how a 30/31" tires does.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I drove 95 miles thiw morning in FT4WD at 60 and used less then a quarter tank. Ive also done the same trip in 2WD at 75 and used ~3/8 a tank

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

You'll need the extra gearing for all the shit you carry in the bed of that thing.

/debate
I got over 23mpg with the automatic on the way home from nacfest  I think I'll be fine without extra gearing.

14-1500lbs of bullshit in the back, 55-65mph = awesome mileage.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ive knocked out mid-20's tanks before if Im good to it. I calculated a 26.67 average once on a stretch in PA coming back from rcktoberfest.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

My best avg was 24 on a whole tank. It was all 50-55mph back roads in MA and NH when the jeep was stock.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

All y'all saying you get more than 20/21mpg in any XJ are a lying crock or are not filling the tanks right.
No way a brick on wheels is going to pull 23+ mpgs.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I managed 22mpg out of a tank on the way to VA last summer. Not bad for only having the engine in for 2 days.
On the way back, I was in a hurry, and got 12

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

My best gas mileage I ever calculated in the Jeep was 14mpg with 33's, 3.55's and no doors all highway on my way to Colin's. I thoroughly enjoy the difference in power of the 4.0 in comparison to the 4cyl junk that I own(ed)

It's a Jeep and I know that it's going to get awful mileage so I don't even waste my brain on stupid math for the Jeep. Honda on the other hand regularly get 32 right now warming up for 10-20 minutes every morning and winter gas.
