THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I would have never thought the grandmamobile ford taurus was viewed as cool in any, way, shape or form, especially it's drivetrain.

I still dont view them as cool in any way, shape, or form.

HMMM

if a variation of the aw4 came behind the toyota 2jz. then that means you can make an ax15 bolt up to a 2jz. which means you can make a billiondy trannies bolt up to a 2jz.

yea. if i wanted to XXXX with any motor swaps for performance, i would 2jz that bitch.

AMURICAN v-8's are cool and all, but everyones aunt has them, and they weigh a billiondy pounds. but the sound makes me happy.

i always found it odd that vdub diesels will bolt to an ax5 as well.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

If a 4.0 weighs a bit over 500 lbs (which is an estimate based on what I've googled), and a 440 weighs right around 650 (save some with aluminum heads), then I'm pretty sure the added weight isn't going to make too much of a difference.

Why don't one of you faggots put your money where your mouth is and make your own engine if you enjoy being so unique and self expressive.

i just think a 2jz would be sweet, and it isnt done by everyone and thier mom (yet)

realistically though. i'd probably keep the 4.0. less crossover/conversion parts. which is nice, because i like simplicity and ease of repair/maintenance.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'll just keep my 4.0 and cut a hole in the floor under the throttle pedal so I can push it further.

I know you just said this to be funny but I actually did this in my comanche.

1. you were correct
2. hahaha wow.
3. I don't have to do this in my comanche, all I have to do is remove the carpet

IIRC, the main difference between the jeep AW4 and toyota version is a different bellhousing, thus it might be a little tough to quickly "bolt up" an AX15 to it. Of course, with enough money and suck you can mate any engine to any tranny.

different bellhousing and input shafts, torque converter, gears, etc. One of the guys on here (child9 iirc) has a thread going, his transmission guy ended up transplanting the back half of an AW4 onto the A340 instead, so he basically has an A340 that will bolt to an NP231.
