That trick works on my cellphone still. When it won't recognize an SD card all I have to do is pull it out, blow into the slot, and reinsert.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ross, I like how you didn't respond to my last post, you realize I was right?

Now that I have a sexy looking empty computer case, I'm searching and hoping to order stuff to put in it so that it actually becomes a computer, and I can use it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Didn't you already buy computer parts?

I am really glad I decided not to sell this guy the pile of WJ parts I have... no idea what he's doing and probably gonna manage to kill himself doing it wrong: http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1055648

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I ordered the case, a video card and power supply. Need more than that though as I'm sure you're aware.

Think I'm going to do this Mother board, with the i7

Still trying to decide HD right now, do I need a SSD hard drive? A friend keeps telling me it will lead to faster boot and application launching times. I take it that the OS and programs go on this SSD, and then all data (i.e. music, photos, etc.) go on the larger disc drive?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Oh, for some reason I thought you ordered all the parts.

Make sure the memory and CPU are on the supported list for the motherboard, nothing shittier than realizing the combo you ordered won't work or isn't listed as officially supported. I know a huge press release went out about the chipset intended for the Sandy Bridge having issues, that board lists Lynnwood support but not Sandy Bridge as far as I can tell. I might just be missing something though.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ugh, I could have sworn I made sure those would work together, but I just checked and the chip is LGA 1155, and the MB says LGA 1156.

edit: That is because the LGA 1155 is the new Sandy Bridge chips socket type, and newegg doesn't really have any 1155 mother boards listed in their main searches. Sweet.

Actually no, they are just all recalled, and won't be back out until April. Double sweet, probably going to the older generation i-7 chips then, I don' want to wait that long.

I dunno :dunno: does it still work. I have a blown edelbrock ias non remote resi shocks out back now. If it's an improvement, why not...

I've been working on the comanche about 2-3 hours, 2-3 days a week after work lately. It should be done soon and I can move focus to my big piece of shit Honcho.
