only issues ive ever seen with arb's were not at fault of the locker, friend had issues with the frt but it was due to the o ring melting when the clayton brackets were welded to the axle, he was stupid abusive to that jeep to, i wouldnt buy and fancy selectable lockers though, i like knowing things are gonna work all the time and not cost me a shitload of cash

Ya I mean I really don't have any problems with ARB's, I think they are nice too. I had just seen way too many failures on friend's Jeeps that made me want to try something else. I weighed the ARB/OX advantages, way before I even had thought I would have they money for one selectable, let alone two. I chose OX for a few reasons, and I originally had a no-slip for the rear 44 (bought the 44 off Billy, first time I met him, and ended up selling the no-slip to Colin), and I also had a lockright for the front D30. I was then going to do OX in the 30, and keep the no-slip, when I found the rear axle I have in now, which had the locker I wanted, the gears I needed, and alloy shafts with the dual pattern and studs already in the 5x5.5 pattern.

Honestly, if I were to build another rig, especially a toned down weekend wheeler/DD/expedition type rig that I wouldn't go on expeditions with, I would probably do ARB. (If I had the money)

god it sucks not having a garage! I wish I could just set my shit up and not have to carry it across a slippery hazardous-as-fawk backyard everytime I want to run 3 beads before losing day light :rattle:

I know the feeling. Garage is the first thing I'm building after I get the house done, and it's going to be a heated garage... hopefully the old furnace still works, I'll drag that shit out there and run it on used oil and diesel and crap and attach a few steam radiators to it.

try pressing the home button once while staring at the background image, they should show faster. Mine sometimes decides that it's not going to show the icons till I press it.

Put a friggin pair of pliers through two of the cores in my radiator trying to pull rock hard 2AWG winch cabling, fml, guess I get to do some hacktastic solder repairs on my own radiator now :roflmao:

yeah mine was kinda stupid about the home screen even on the best of days. Oh well, it was cool otherwise.

that would be awesome. Till then I'll solder it and/or drive the dirty POS.

Also, adding the winch fairlead to my bumper has removed any semblance of decent approach angle from my jeep... that is, anything the ORF bumper left me with. I foresee it being accidentally used as a set of rollers to get me over obstacles :wow: I should cover the whole underside of my jeep in free winch fairleads.

I had high hopes of building a sweet 3 link on my next XJ using this 60 i'm trading for. now i have the urge to sell it before i've even picked it up.
