Snow tires aren't just a gimmick, they actually work. It's amazing how many people run all season tires year round.

Yup I'm not surprised either. We run them on the grand marquis (studded too).

For a truck though, it's not just snow you have to battle. Getting a trailer to/from trails can be a challenge after rain or even on a dry day.

Not to mention I can't imagine how expensive a snow tire would be with an E load range.

sadly I think if I put my snow tires on the MJ before I finish fixing it, they will hit everything except the lottery.

Nice. I don't think I'd run studded tires in New England... Alaska or Canada I would though. The roads never melt down to pavement.

That'd be a good highway truck, but I think you're right that 4wd would be a smart idea.

Oh man, they'd be expensive and wear out fast.

You can only run studded tires for certain months in MA.

I think it's from October to April.

Either way that's what we run them for.

well thanks for the good luck wishes, but they ended up canceling it, and not because of the weather.

i walk in the hospital and go to the receptionist, holding my coffee, and shes like "are you drinking that?" looking puzzled i say "yeah?" and all the receptionists get this OMG face your drinking?? did you eat?? you can't drink or eat your going under? i was like "wtf nobody told me not to drink anything or not to eat."

I've had procedures before and they are very adamant about saying DO NOT EAT OR DRINK. this time they didn't say anything. so me and my gf took the day off of work for nothing

2WD truck in NE = dumb

I was worried about my ranger in the winter when I bought it 3 years ago. Now, I'd have no problem buying another 2wd truck.

The a-hole plow drivers thought it would be funny to leave a huge snow pile in front of my jeep today. Needless to say I drive through it multiple times until it was spread out and packed down.

that's my plan for right before driving around in the snow. I'm hoping to bail at 4pm, get home, swap a driveshaft in the 96, and head out onto the pike.

If I go wheeling Sunday I just know I'm gonna need that winch :firedevil

By "all the stuff" do you mean the winch, or the winch and the 44, or am I forgetting something else? How much money should I bring?
