THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

You can't get LSD anymore for on-road purposes, ULSD only.
In ct, even the off road diesel us ulsd, and a slightly higher price than the home heating oil. Its going to suck when I cant find anyone to deliver HHO to the jobsite instead of off road diesel.
A bit of an interesting side note- Did anyone know that its perfectly legal to run HHO over the road- as long as you pay the tax on it. Its probably not worth it, because if you get caught with it, your going to have to explain the laws to the cop, and prove that you are paying the taxes, but its an option for anyone wanting to run lsd

we're actually hiring right now, if you want to spend 50 or 60 hours a week in the office and never build anything again, just get to debug other people's stupid mistakes.
I fix computers with a hammer, do I qualify?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ask me if I use anything I learned in school at my job and my answer will be absolutely not.

Thevenin equivalent gave me flashbacks...
yeah... same here, and it's driving me a little nuts. Fortunately I use this kind of stuff for my hobbies anyways.

I fix computers with a hammer too, but only on my own time.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm a fan of putting technology back to where it came from. The ground. This technique is most effective from points at least 20-30 ft from said terra ferma.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Toshiba Satellite laptops expand quite nicely when put back into the ground from about 100 feet up.

Threw one off a tower at school and it hit the ground so hard it came completely apart. Even the LCD delaminated, we picked up the parts and the front/back glass layers, polarizers, backlight, and a few other panels were entirely separated.

I think my favorite things to throw off towers are bowling balls, pumpkins full of liquid nitrogen, and watermelons though.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Jenn's laptop is a Toshiba :puke: I had to take it apart and put it back together a few years ago when she spilled an entire mug of tea on it. And she likes her tea with sugar. I rinsed - yes rinsed in tap water - all the parts, bought a $45 hard drive, put everything back together, formatted it and installed windows. Works better now than it did before.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Not surprised, though I would have followed the tap water with DI water. Tap water to get most of the residue out, DI to make sure you don't leave any calcium or salts behind from the tap water. They actually use DI water to rinse solder flux residue off PCBs during manufacture, the only thing they do differently is that some components come with a piece of tape over them to keep the water out which is then removed.

I actually liked that laptop, it was comically outdated but was free and did great till I dropped my backpack on top of it with 3 massive textbooks inside by accident.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm gonna laugh if you break a shaft in that d80. Then I will :worship:

You did keep some of the parts for spares right? I would have stripped it down and only scrapped the busted junk.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yeah I kept the shafts (35-spline), hubs, and the new brakes I put on it.

If I break anything on that rear axle doing a burnout with worn down 265s I'll be extremely amazed.
